In this video, I discuss communication in data science, market research, consumer insights or for anyone who has data to communicate. When doing data analysis, investing time with people and the process of analyzing data, as well as it's resources, will allow you to better understand the information and communicate it. It helps when it comes to storytelling with data!

In this tutorial find out how to communicate your data, charts, graphs and data visualizations to CEOs, Investors and Business Leaders. A lot of credit goes to Nancy Duarte and her great book Data Story which talks about how you can tell great data stories so that people listen. Well worth a read.

00:00 - Why communication is so important
00:43 - Tip 1: Only talk about what they care about
01:21 - Tip 2: Just because it's important to you does not mean it's important to them
02:03 - Tip 3: Tell them your main point in three minutes
02:52 - Tip 4: Don't make it beautiful, just make it easy to understand

Very very useful, targeted and sensible.
BUT sometimes I wonder if people even have a 3 min attention span.

This is a great video. There's a couple of things I love about all your videos. It's simple and easy to understand. Even with all the experts out there who talk so much Jargon, you can't beat easy-to-understand communication. You are a master. Would like to see more on communication if you have the time. The irony is that I'm a copywriter and I struggle with communication. Thank you so very much for sharing and all your hard work.

Just found your channel and am _loving_ your content. (Really hope you get to post "How to Simplify" sometime, as you had me keen and intrigued! Best wishes from a POM in Sydney.)
