How long does it take for the implants to "settle"?
That depends on how tight your skin and muscle are to start and the size of the implant, but generally it takes 1 month for the implants to start to settle and 3-6 months to settle fully. It is common for one implant to settle faster than the other (usually the left since most patients use their right arm more). A bandeau (basically a strap worn under the armpits) can help put pressure on implants that are settling too slowly or unevenly, but you should discuss it with your doctor before using it since not every patient needs it and in some patients it can put too much downward pressure on the implants.
