Hey Everyone! ) I’m Anna and welcome to my channel. Here, I post some useful information for English learners. I’m from Ukraine and I’ve worked on my English and accent, for the most part, on my own, but you can find out and trace my story by watching my videos. I’ve been studying American pronunciation for a long time, and I still do, and I guess I always will – because it’s not math. Learning a language, it’s a lifetime journey. I know exactly what it takes to become fluent and acquire an accent in a non-English speaking country, and I’ve never even been to one. And I’m sharing this information here – on my channel.

I've been listening every single stuff in English for 4 months, and I am already feeling Confident, and 80% of the time I don't need subtitle to understand fast, connected speech, but when I watch movies then I need to use subtitle, but I believe that 7 months is enough to build anyone's listening skill. I guess I will not have to use subtitle very soon

The educational system of most European countries is charged with the task of giving each pupil a CEFR B2 English Level certificate at 18 years of age, at the moment of high-school "diploma". A CEFR B2 Level means that you are able to *read* and *understand* an article - or even a book - using a dictionary and that you are able to *understand* a simple "talk" with English subtitles (like TED Talks). From a CEFR B2 Level to C2 (the "fluent" level where you are at the moment), it usually takes a couple of years of *professional-level* study: at least a couple of hours per day, at least five days per week. So, it is not surprising you reached this level in this amount of time. Rather, it is surprising you found the *motivation* to do it and - most important! - that you were able to do it *alone*, from *home*. Such a performance is usually reserved for university students who *have* to do so and who do it by working in a group, working with professors and traveling. So, congratulations!

Thanks for helping me understand the process 😊 I've started listening nearly 4 months (of course just like you, I had a long time to learn EL at school but I was struggled to listen and speak), now I can watch more videos without EL subtitles but I still find it a little hard to express my thoughts, so sometimes I doubt myself if I could speak EL fluently. I think your're right, be patient! It's a long-life journey.

Hi Anna, I saw a lot of your amazing high quality videos and also my older daughter love your voice and accent. And even for her age (12 years) it was absolutely understandable what you meant before. And every serious Polyglot know that being fluent in a foreign language doesn't mean that you never make grammar mistakes or knowing all the words. I even discover new words in my native language again and again and make grammar mistakes from time to time. You did and do a great job. It's so impressive and very encouraging.

I believe you, I believe you are a dedicated and hard-working woman.

If the fluency means to be able to express my ideas fluently then, that means I'm already fluent. 😊

It took me about a year and a half to reach this level and I'm still learning something new about English every day.
