How to Fix Chromecast 'Can't Connect to WiFi'

In this video, I will quickly guide you on how you can fix if your Chromecast cannot connect to WiFi.

1) First thing to simply check is your Internet connection itself
2) Secondly, try to factory reset the Chromecast
3) Press the small side button on the back of your Chromecast while still plugged into the TV
4) It will take some while to reboot the Chromecast
5) Follow the instructions on the setup page.
6) Select WiFi and forget it.
7) Now come back to the home screen and setup everything from first
8) This time you can go ahead and select the WiFi.
9) In this way, you can easily connect your Chromecast to WiFi.

my device didn't have a reset button or a secondary connection but i was able to reboot by pulling the input cable out of the device jack and putting it back in. Rebooting was the key and it worked.

THANKS BRO!! can’t believe I couldn't find a reset button on my chromecast on my own but after watching your video and seeing where you reset the chromecast I double looked with the flashlight and there was so dumb going through all this hassle trying to set it up so thank you very much I now have chromecast I got my Hulu and my Netflix hooked up to it which I didn't before because this isn't a smart TV thank you brother

Did all of those steps, its connects to the wifi. As soon as it connects, it says somethings wrong. My wifi works perfectly fine. And the modem is right next to tv. It used to work perfectly fine before now it cant seem to fix this

I tried all of this to no avail. I now have two of them that are not working in a span of 3 months. I swear, Google sent something out to make them not work. I had them both for about two years, now they just stopped connecting?!?! Everything else in my household works just fine. Now I have to buy a new one just to test it.

My chromecast device is already built into my tv . How would I reset it? I have reseted my tv with it unplugged from power chord, router and phone nothing is working. Both tv and phone are on the same wifi network. Nothing is working!!!!

Did a reset exactly as shown, but when I try to cast a video to my TV, no joy. My wife's cell phone can cast to this TV just fine, but I can not. 😢 Any suggestions?

If it still doesn't work after all that, try unplugging the chromecast and connect it directly into a laptop using the USB port. Make sure laptop is connected to the internet. And then click through the full setup again. Ended up working for me!
