How to FIX all Google Chromecast ERRORs! Factory Reset, Can't find, unable to connect to wifi, etc

This is how to fix ALL errors related to pairing with Google Chromecast 1st gen, google chrome cast 2nd, google audio, google ultra.

STEPS:
1) hold down button for 25-30 seconds
2) download google home (chromecast) app
3) set up as usual
4) like video and comment if you had any problems or if it worked

OK FIXED IT !!!! YES !!!! after three weeks of NO CAST DEVICES FOUND. Was ready to pitch both Chromecast units in the garbage. I got error on Win 10 laptop, and all phones had stopped working. NO CAST DEVICES FOUND NO CAST DEVICES FOUND for everything I tried from a zillion forums.
Finally from another forum, I got the inspiration that it was really a router problem. I went into my router setup and from the extensive device list shown, I copied down the unique MAC address of each Chromecast unit. (This is hardwired into each Chromecast unit) Then I went into my router setup. On my router setup screen, I went to HOME NETWORK>MAC FILTERING, then manually ADD both of my Chromecast MAC addresses. I didn't even have to reboot my router.! It found the Chromecast devices nearly instantaneously..All laptops and phones now work. I love the internet.

Very useful video. I was struggling to change WIFI on my chromecast due to change in router as there was no clear response in many sites including chromecast help. Pressing and holding the button on the outside of the ChromeCast device FIXED MY PROBLEM. Thank you bud. Thumbs up and all that.

Thank you much, TechBrah!! I never knew my Chromecast had a button on it until you pointed it out. My device doesn't look like the one you show, but since you said the same instructions applied, I PERSISTED!! :-) Followed the instructions on my TV and the only problem I had finishing the set up was because I'd changed my password -- DOH!! Once I figured that out, ALL WAS GOOD!! Thanks again for giving me the boost to get it fixed myself!!

After I reset my Chromecast It went through and did the colorful G but then the screen was just black and it did not go to the set up screen

Mine says that it connected successfully but the connection between the chrome cast and Wi-Fi are not linked and that I have to switch off the AP isolation

Mine also worked! Did a couple of things in MI ROUTER 3C to get it connected finally! 😁😁 added mac address manually, turned off uPnp, Added DHCP Static IP of chromecast mac address

Steps to fix chrome cast


- type in "chrome://flags" (in the URL)


- There’s a search bar at the top beside the magnifying glass. Search for the flag "Connect to Cast devices on all IP addresses". Change it from Default to Enabled.


- Do the same with "WebRTC new encode cpu load estimator" and "Load Media Router Component Extension."

Thanks! I'd just installed a new wifi system and couldn't get my Chromecast set up to access it properly. The RESET fixed this so I could go ahead and reset my Chromecast from scratch.
