I don't celebrate Halloween either and took a stand years ago (probably 30 plus, but whose counting) that I, nor my children would take part in it. I am still taking that stand today. I put my sugar in just food grade buckets and don't use mylar bags. I have keep sugar for years like this. And I have never had any go bad. When my children were little we would buy 200 pound at a time because I made all my jams, jellies, applebutter and such.

Billy if you have a bucket with a rubber gasket when you close it down would you need the mylar bags. I thought it would seal up good. I have just been putting the bags unopened in the bucket with the rubber gaskets. What do you think?
I totally agree with not celebrating Halloween for many reasons and mainly there are a lot of straight up nuts out there just waiting to get their jellies on hurting some kid

Billy, I'm so glad I watched this video. I received my mylar bags and oxygen absorbers today. I was about to place my sugar in the bag with extra doses of O2 absorbers.

My sister used to work for an animal shelter rescue and Halloween was one of the worst time for animals. Every year they would get calls about tortured animals especially cats. It’s just horrible the things some will do to animals. Please keep your pets safe around this time of year.
