I just climbed happily back into my bed after fixing the annoying toilet running sounds coming from the other bedroom's bathroom in my house that I share a wall with because of this vid!

It was super helpful to have you walk through the whole scenario. For me, there wasnt a screw but just twisting the rod counterclockwise did the same thing. And then I had to change the position of it, there was no other way to get it to stop dropping down so far but to grab and twist gently. Worked though! Did the same thing with the flappy thing, had to slightly reposition it. Done and done! At least for now, will keep monitoring and definitely planning to deep clean everything later because I'm certain at least the flappy thing will move out of position again unless I clean and/or replace it... thoughts?

My toilet was hissing and had droplets of water coming in around the screw thingy. Well now thanks to you - it has stopped. The little screw needed to be tightened to stop the slow drip. I have the same product by American Standard. The worst time to jiggle the floater is a night when you are deep in your sleep and hear the sound of the running water. Little counter-clockwise rotation of that black screw solved the problem. Thanks for the video.
