The Mandalorians are a fierce, proud people with a storied past of battles and conquests. And at the center of that history is a political faction that wielded immense power and influence - House Vizsla. Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian Jedi, created the legendary Darksaber and founded House Vizsla. Following the Mandalorian Civil War, Pre Vizsla, the head of House Vizsla, became the governor of Concordia and led Death Watch against the New Mandalorians under Duchess Satine Kryze.

But during the reign of the Galactic Empire, House Vizsla sided with the Empire in the hopes of gaining more power under the leadership of Imperial Viceroy Gar Saxon. But an internal conflict between Clans Saxon and Wren led to the Darksaber and control of Mandalore being given to Bo-Katan Kryze. Under the New Republic, Paz Vizsla, a member of the Tribe, which is part of the Children of the Watch, longs to restore the Darksaber to House Vizsla and return his clan to their former prominence.

The darksaber was only a sign of leadership between death watch influenced clans (minorit of mandalorian population). All the other clans wouldn't give a fuck.

Unfortunately for Paz, he was already bested in a formal Duel against Dinn who wasn’t at his full capacity. He’s already accepted his loss and came to terms with it. It’s unlikely he’ll try again due to him losing once already. It’s more likely he’ll support Dinn so as his family’s name is somewhat restored

For those who want to know about the actual beginning of the Mandalorians....

An ancient race called the Taung found Beskar and began turning it into weapons. They became invaders and began accepting everyone into their ranks as the Mandalorian empire for the first time. They became the Galaxy's biggest threat for centuries until their defeat at the hands of Revan in the Mandalorian Wars, which broke them apart and sent them on a downward spiral. Some of them created a group on Dromund Kaas but the group failed to hold throne and for the rest of the known timeline they have been a broken people of clans and sects Hoping to re-unite. They had many leaders such as Mandalore the Avenger (Shae Vizla) who led them during the Sith empire, Mandalore the Ultimate who faced Revan and almost over threw the Republic, and Mandalore the Preserver (Canderous Ordo) who led the Mandalorians to retake their home and honor after both were destroyed by Revan.

Many think it will be BoKatan that rules but I believe in a pitch battle when the Children of the Watch are nearly defeated Ragnar Vizla will lift the Dark Saber and kill Moff Gideon uniting all clans under his rule
