Who Is Tarre Vizsla? - Star Wars: Lore Profile #Shorts

Tarre Vizsla was the first Mandalorian to become a Jedi during the time of the Old Republic. As the first Mandalorian Jedi, Tarre wanted to be unique and created the Darksaber, the only lightsaber to have a black blade that resembled a real sword, unlike other lightsabers. After his death, the Darksaber was locked away in the Jedi Temple for years until members of House Vizsla broke into the temple and retrieved it during the fall of the Old Republic. With the legend that whoever wields the Darksaber after winning it in combat would be the rightful ruler of Mandalore. The Darksaber has appeared in several Star Wars shows including Clone Wars, Rebels, The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett. In which the Darksaber was used by Pre Vizsla, Maul, Sabine Wren, Bo-Katan Kryze, Moff Gideon, and now Din Djarin.
