Who is Paz Vizsla and Clan Vizsla? - Star Wars Explained

We've learned more about Paz Vizsla recently, but who is Paz Vizsla and the Vizsla Clan? In this video, I explain who Paz Vizsla is and the Vizsla Clan's history.

Since Paz didn't earn the darksaber in combat, I believe he has a desire to earn it again from Din Djarin, cause I think since the saber was forged by his ancestor, it's almost like an heirloom to his clans name, and wouldn't want it to fall into the hands of someone unworthy or even an outsider like Din. Plus this may be far fetched, but it would be neat to see Paz become a frequent rival to Din in season 3 or more in The Mandalorian, seeing him make a move against Din in one way or another to earn the saber, I think it would be super neat!

Welp. With Paz Vizsla's death it looks like that will be left to his son

I think it’s really cool that since Din rescued Paz’s foundling son Paz is now like his bro. Notice how when Bo was walks out with his helmet off, Paz looks to Din to see if this is ok. I don’t see these guys fighting anymore, but rather becoming close friends. Every hero needs some allies. Not that I’d be upset if they had a rematch for the Dark Saber, but I expect Din to keep it since he is the the protagonist.

I felt he had an unnecessary death in season 3. I wonder what the story behind him was and how was he related to Pre-Vizsla. Based on Legends material the houses were much larger and grouped many clans. Kryze and Viszla were so common that it was not strange for one member to not know all members of their house or clan.

All Mandalorians want the Dark Saber. They want to rule over Mandalor. The same was happening with the Sith until Darth Bane introduced the Rule Of Two because the Sith were killing themselves. The Mando may have to make some kind of rule, otherwise he will consistently be challenged for The Dark Saber.
