That scene in Rebels showing the history of the Dark Saber is probably my favourite piece of Mandalorian History I've ever heard. I loved that scene the moment I first saw it.

I always loved the Mandalorian culture. I hope we get some Old Republic Mandalorian stuff much later. And I love that story animation showing the history of the dark saber.

I always thought that the writers of TCW had Shea Vizla and that TOR cinematic in mind, when they wrote Pre Vizsla and let him say "my ancesters took this sword during the fall of the old republic".
I believe both were also released roughly around the same time.

I would love if Shae was canonized as the one to steal back the Darksaber. Heck, even Malgus could work as part of the attack on Coruscant, depending on just how and why it happened.

Filoni has done a lot of work on Mandalorian culture in both Clone Wars and Rebels. Given the fact, he is working on a show about one of them, I wouldn’t surprised if we saw Mandalore as well as we got material on the various clans. Bo Katan is their leaders after Rebels so I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw her.

I can imagine the Tor Vizsla was exiled from his own clan for some reason and founds a Death Watch, has his own family.(Started another Vizsla clan.)
