Let's take a moment to admire just how awesome it is for there to be a Mandalorian
who could use the Force. be they a Jedi Knight, or not.

Because that is a character who could be just as popular as Darth Vader if given his own movie or series.

Since Sabine and Bo-Katan didn’t gain it traditionally, that would mean that Maul was the wielder and leader of Mandalore. However, he was not only defeated, but killed by Obi-Wan Kenobi. That would make Obi-Wan Kenobi the rightful wielder of the Dark Saber, and that would make him the rightful leader of Mandalore

That's definitely best theory I've heard. I came here trying to find out more about him. Cause I wanted to know more about him an why his saber became so unique. I'm thinking it's clearly his clash of being both jedi and mandalorian. Where sith are aggressive and violent, mandalorians saw combat as religious. Which like you said had to clash between his peaceful jedi teaching and his mandalorian beliefs. Being peaceful but also having a side that see combat as religious so being strong would be a big deal to him. I'm curious what style of dualing he would use. My guess is he probably focused more on lightsaber combat than trying to find inner peace an grow as a force weirder. I think he would learned skills that would further make him an even stronger warrior. Just my thoughts didn't proof read so hopefully makes sense

I think it would be really neat to have a "back in time" season of the Mandalorian sort of like Fargo did, and have that season be about Tarre leaving the Jedi, building that saber, and becoming a mandalore.

My theory is that he didnt balanced it, and fell to the dark side, why did the Jedi had the blade of a king of a world if it wasnt taken by force? why would the clan Vizla gave the sword to the Jedi, only to steal it back?
