Coronavirus Pandemic Update 50: Dip in Daily New Deaths; Research on Natural Killer Cells & COVID-19

There has been a drop in the number of daily new COVID-19 cases and deaths in the United States and globally - could it be the start of a trend? Dr. Seheult discusses research on the key role of natural killer cells in coronavirus infection and how interventions prior to hospitalization are critical.

We've produced each COVID-19 video with the best information we could access at the time of recording. Naturally, some videos will contain information that has become outdated or replaced by better information or research.

That said, we believe each video contains concepts that have enduring value and reviewing how the response to COVID-19 has progressed over time may be of interest to you as well.

I just found your channel last evening, and I wanted to say thank you for your hard work and still making educational videos during the Covid crisis. I’m a retired critical care paramedic and have been searching for some explanations that aren’t quite at the epidemiology level but at a medical level that most practitioners can understand. You do this perfectly and have answered a lot of questions that I had. My wife is an ER clinical coordinator and started watching your videos as well. Just wanted to let you know that you are doing a fantastic job and please stay safe during this crisis. Glad you have good donning and doffing partners as well.

Thank you for all you do. My wife is an ICU RN and sent me here for updates and information and I’m continuously surprised by how much I understand, especially since my microbiology class (and it was also the last science class I ever took) was in 2002.
Keep on keeping on. You are an amazing blessing of clear concise thought.

This explains why 25 to 30 minutes daily exercise is important to our immune system .. the only choice that we have right now is to keep our inner natural killer strong all the time ..

Wow...Your first point was very well put. I now have a new view of how much risk and how critically needed these humans are. I don’t think they knew they’d have to be in a situation like this when they signed up but they stick around and take care of those needing it more than themselves. What a crazy responsibility. Thank you to everyone helping in hospitals!!❤️

49 y.o. RN here. Got covid19 symptoms on 3/22. Started taking AHCC on 3/23 (and continued 100mg Losartan daily for my hypertension). Had absolutely ZERO issues with respiratory distress although I had a fairly difficult time with 12 days of fevers and the like. Some reflux and diarrhea during the end of week 2. Whole lot of symptoms ended about day 16 for me. Now back at work taking care of covid patients and feel great.

I have spoken to all my colleagues who tested positive and ALL of them had some degree of breathing trouble. I was the only one who didn't. Not sure how much was the ARB but the boosted NK cells from the AHCC had to help me fight this off better than a lot of the 25-35 year old nurses I mostly work with.

Hating to see how many patients are being fed Plaquenil like candy and having severe cardiac arrhythmias from it. I had 3 patients this week who all went into SVT (170 sustained heart rate and symptomatic) and wish the U.S. would finally stop using this unproven drug that's doing more harm than good.

All the best to everyone out there on the front lines!!!
