Coronavirus Pandemic Update 55: How COVID-19 Infection Attacks The Immune System & Differs From HIV

Dr. Seheult illustrates new findings from Nature (a peer-reviewed journal) about how the SARS-CoV-2 virus may infect T-cells and render them ineffective during COVID 19 infection. A comparison is also made to how HIV infects T-cells with a key difference being that HIV actually utilizes T-cells of the human immune system to replicate itself (and this has not been observed with SARS-CoV-2. Other topics include a medical review by the Mayo Clinic about potential benefits of sauna/hydrothermal therapy (brief core temperature elevation), and a new "vent multiplexer" that allows some individual adjustment when treating multiple patients with one ventilator.

Chilling, to see how this thing is one little mechanic away from being full-blown airborne HIV... Let's hope we don't come to find out that's virtually the case.... Wow...

There are some points this video is bringing up but not outright addressing in pedestrian-example terms, and I think we'd all appreciate a followup that targets the following questions:

1 - What is the actual effect of this difference in mechanism, on the human's system: That it temporarily gives you HIV-like disability of the immune system, but then once you beat the virus, your new T cells are fine?


2 - What about whispers of people who had cleared the symptoms appearing to have spontaneous re-infection? Could it be using the T-cells to stealth continue surviving in the body, after the lungs recover?

3 - Do these T-cells packed with viral material release viable virus into the system once it expires/ruptures.... Or is it just junk strands with no 'teeth'. What exactly happens when a cell is loaded with junk like this? Does it pop? (I Mean, what is the use of breaking in and copying itself inside the T cell, if it's a dead-end in there?)
