A 36-minute bodycam video released by Illinois State Police provides a chilling look at the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey in her own home after she called 911 about a possible intruder. NBC’s Maggie Vespa reports for TODAY. Warning: The video is disturbing.

Why is it ok for police to make threatening terrorist statements? In many videos you hear them making threats towards civilians, regardless if a crime has been commited or not. Also why did they need to enter her home, she called about an intruder, they searched the premises and found no one. They should have said have a good night, if you hear anything else please call 911 and left from the porperty.

Your report did not say that the officer was the one who told Massey to turn off and move the pot boiling on the stove - that is a significant and egregious omission - considering that she was following the officers orders when he shot her in the face.

I am short of words. Cooking pot versus 2 hefty armed men. Guess what, they were scared for their lives. This is the abuse black people face on a daily basis in the US. The killing was senseless.
