Bodycam footage shows final moments of Tacoma police shooting

According to investigators, Peter Collins fired at Tacoma police officers 15 times, and officers shot nine times in return.

I would bet any amount of money that this police officer is a combat veteran that served overseas. In the full video, you can really see how nonchalant he is when he calmly places his coffee, down puts the vehicle in park, steps out of the vehicle & walks to the rear while being shot at, retrieves his gucci'd AR & racks the bolt back, props up against his patrol vehicle, flicks his safety off, fires a single round at *183 yards with a red dot sight, * then flicks his safety back on. Cool as a cucumber the entire time.

I heard from the guys family, Collins, that he was suffering from Mental issues. And couldn't get help, even tho he reached out several times. And then his son's mother took his son away. This was before he was having any issues.

A lot of people are praising the officer for this shot but still don't realize how incredibly well trained he has to be on thar specific rifle..

His red dot is on a GBRS Hydra mount. This is the absolute tallest mount out there and it's usually reserved for night vision rifles only.

Because of the height the holds are completely ridiculous and this officer would have had to not only be able to judge the distance he was at, but know the hold over on that distance.

These mounts are fun and cool for NV setups but if you don't train a LOT they're just fancy for nothing. They make shooting much harder.

This officer had to have put in WORK to get this shot.
