It's worth considering a ''real food'' diet, ie no processed foods. You'll never need to read a label again. (I live in Bulgaria, and most processed foods are labelled in Cyrillic, making them really difficult for me to read).

Vegetables should be your main focus, fruit minimal, for your fibres. Protein are legumes, lentils, nuts and seeds. For fat nuts and seeds, olive oil and coconut oil. Carbs are quinoa, buckwheat, amaranth and millet. Nightshade vegetables and fruit should be avoided if you have an inflammation disease to heal. Life is simple. Choose organic. Make your own vegan milks. Try not to replace your diet by product of the gluten free or anything free aisle. Learn to cook south Indian cuisine. Rice can be replaced if you want to eat something else than that by quinoa, buckwheat, amaranth or millet. All very delicious. South Indian cuisine focus on coconuts, so you have no trouble with milk. Just don't replace your, food like cereals, bread, chocolate, pizza, pasta with gluten/milk free options. It is better to just change your whole diet to a healthier option and not stay with the standard English or American diet. This diet is not healthy even when you would replace it with gluten/milk free alternatives. I know it is hard, but the taste of South Indian cuisine is not to compare. I hope this all helped. Don't make your life unnecessary difficult by focusing on what I eat I need to make gluten/milk free. Just change to a cuisine that is cooking without those ingredients totally. And yes, chapattis are make from wheat, but that is not the only option to eat your curries. Eat your curries with rice, quinoa, buckwheat, amaranth or millet. Keep the carbs low and focus more on the vegetables, nuts and seeds and healthy oils. You will be fine. 🥦🥬🧄🧅🥑🥥🥕

Paleo is what’s working for me. Try avoiding products. I have been diagnosed with celiac. Literally yesterday

At 73 (USA) was diagnosed as possible celiac (anti-body showed up) Though I am awaiting an endoscopy for verification, stopped all gluten, dairy as well as low carbs (also diagnosed as pre-diabetic plus I have high cholesterol). All came at one time. Had bouts of severe digestion issues previously, but since I have begun eating no processed foods, very little dairy, plant milks and no gluten, low carbs, no meat just fish, dropped 20 lbs, and now have a lot more energy. I feel so much better! Sleep better and no brain fog. Due to my better eating I lowered my cholesterol, no longer diabetic levels as well, digestion is fine. Unbelievable that I felt so bad and accepted it. It took several years for all this to show up. Presently, I am trying to coordinate foods/ meals: gluten free, continue to lower cholesterol even more, prevent pre-diabetic sugar levels. It has been quite a challenge but doable. Lots of organic, fresh salads, and tracking my foods has helped me tremendously. Enjoyed listening to your "gluten free" journey.

My teen daughter seems to have become gluten and dairy intolerant, so I’ve been searching for things that are better for us. For most things we already eat well and trying to grow many of our own veggies. She has braces, so that limits nuts and other foods and absolutely can not have chocolate- it burns her lips and aggravates her throat. Thank you, I’m glad I stumbled across your page :-)

I too am a chocoholic on the gf and df journey for 6 months now and its been difficult! Ive found an ice cream cone gf and df that is delcious and comes in multiple flavors called jolly llama!!! Highly recommended the mint!!! I've found cooking for myself is the only sure way to control gf and df. Eating out always gives me anxiety, but im learning what places are safe because I have to travel a lot for work.

Another issue is that some companies make a bunch of different products and use the same equipment to make them. Like, they might use the same equipment to make chocolate and wheat. Some companies let you know about this on their product labels, but others don't.

Hi I've just had my results from the food intolerance York test and I know I have to change my diet to make me feel well but I don't know where to start, but this video has gave me some insight, so thankyou! I had ibs symptoms for years, very bloated extended tummy, uncomfortable and extremely painful with gas and wind with both constipation and diarrhea, its just awful 😖 and I struggle to lose weight. My food intolerance test showed I am intolerant to egg whites, wheat, cows milk, gluten and string beans ! I just feel that they are all in everything I eat and I could cry, I just scared to eat now 😩 xx

This is really helpful, thank you. I've just done a York test so just getting my head around the changes I need to do. It's come back egg & milk sensitivity with gluten borderline. It's a minefield!

Good video for what to eat on a gluten free diet, but I thought I would see a video where you describe what health improvements you noticed to your mind and body in more details. Thank you.

Have you re-tested your intolerances since being dairy/gluten free for at least 3 months? Sometimes allergens will cross-react and you find out that some of your intolerances were due to an overall inflammation.

I been on this diet for over 10 years because I have ibs irritable bowl syndrome but it’s not hard to have this diet it’s only hard going out to eat with friends and family I don’t eat wheat or milk, butter, ice cream not even lactose milk I don’t do yogurt or sour cream if I crave it I eat vegan ice cream or vegan alternatives to dairy 🥛 as of meat I only eat chicken because it’s hard for me to digest other meats steak 🥩 once a month but because I have a sensitive stomach it’s very hard for me to digest certain food especially wheat 🌾 anything in the bread 🍞 department like crackers for example or cookies 🍪 cake 🎂 like that. But it’s not a hard diet just hard to eating around people that prevent me from finding food I can eat.

I agree when eating out the gluten free dairy free options aren’t that tasty. But I have to say Tesco’s free from range is just excellent, I can still eat my normal kind of meals so doesn’t feel like such an adjustment. It’s just hitting the bank balance hard 😩

I didn't know where to start either after being diagnosed as gluten intolerant and allergic to cow's milk (and peanuts). I'm still struggling a year later on how to make these lifestyle changes.

In case anyone is interested, Barley Malt is a sweetener.

thank you so much for making this video! i just did an intolerance test and they took a sample of my blood and i’m intolerant to cows milk, most gluten and egg whites so this is so helpful!!!

Barley Malt Extract is for flavouring, that's probably why it's in desserts, you CAN eat it on a GF diet because malt is a sugar (maltose) it's not got gluten in which is a protein not a sugar.
