Gluten Sensitivity Story - How Going Gluten Free Changed My Life! Gluten Intolerance Symptoms!

Hi guys! Listen, I know the thought of never eating gluten again is extremely overwhelming. I couldn’t even hear the words when my chiropractor and midwife suggested it during my second pregnancy. It wasn’t until the fatigue, brain fog, bloating, acne and eczema got so bad that I felt desperate enough to change. My sweet daughter was showing symptoms, too. Her belly was distended daily and I knew it wasn’t normal. Being that my mom has dairy and gluten sensitivities, it made sense we would deal with it as well.

I haven’t purposefully touched gluten in over 7 years. Around that time, I also fully broke up with Taco Bell and McDonalds! Oh how I miss you double decker supreme with mild sauce!

Life has been good on the other side and I encourage you to listen to your body if it’s speaking to you through symptoms. I’ve read many books on health philosophies. Books on intermittent and longer fasts, brain health, high fat and low carb meal plans, mitochondria cell health, liver rescue health with higher carb and low fat diets and other more detailed nutrition training. With all the opposing opinions and research, they all agree on one thing...gluten is not beneficial to the body, gut health or brain. The other thing the experts agree on is how dang magical the avocado is but I digress.

If you are like me and follow the 80/20 rule, meaning you eat nutrient dense food 80% of the time and silly fun treats 20% of the time this thought might work for you. I would strongly consider putting gluten in that 20% bracket. That being said, if your healthcare provider has recommended you go gluten-free I would 100% listen to them! On the flip side, if your dermatologist or anyone tells you food has nothing to do with your symptoms, I’d strongly disagree. I’d been told that for years and find it very ironic that when I changed my nutrition, I healed up. Funny how that works.

Didn’t our moms say we are what we eat? Pretty sure that’s a thing.

Thyroid issues, SIBO, increased anxiety, depression, candida yeast overgrowth, brain fog, IBS, constant bloating, skin rashes of any kind and leaky gut are all symptoms you may be experiencing. There are more to this list but neither of us have the time. I’ve heard stories of serious issues needing a prescription being gone just 30 days after gluten gets the boot. It’s real my friends, so very real which is why I must share my story. You could take me to Italy and put a fresh baked pizza in front of me and I would not eat it, that’s how committed I am to my beliefs. I have heard that the gluten products in Europe are much different than the U.S. making it better to consume. I still won’t chance it. I refuse to ever feel as miserable in my body and mind as I once did.

If you have questions, please reach out. I’d love to help and the most important thing to remember is once you make the switch to gluten-free, it’s actually really easy to make it a lifestyle. Your body only has you to rely on and it’s safe to say we need it to be there for the long haul. You got this! Xx, Stacy

Took me forever to figure out what was causing the bloating and fatigue but I figured it out and now I feel great!

It’s the brain fog that gets me and yes absolutely, trying to do an afternoon workout after gluten is the worst. I’ve literally only just realised it has been the cause of so many problems for me. I can’t get over the difference in my tummy since I gave up.

I've been gluten free for 2 1/2 months and feel so much better. I was having bad IBS-D for 8 months and didn't know what the problem was. I went to the doctor and got a bunch of tests done and everything came back negative, including the test for celiac's disease. He mentioned to me that IBS is a diagnosis of elimination, but in his experience, eliminating gluten and/or dairy helps 80% of the time. I decided to try eliminating gluten first and then work from there and thankfully I felt better within a few days. It really wasn't as hard to give up gluten as I was expecting it to be. I've discovered lots of gluten-free meals, which helps a lot. The only issue is eating out, since almost everything has gluten in it. However, I don't eat out that much anymore.

Thank you for making this video. I’ve been in the “testing my body” phase for awhile, scared to commit to a gluten free diet even though I display all symptoms and KNOW it’s what I need to do. Your video really helped give me some clarity and motivation. 💛🤍

Amazing. The idea of my having a gluten sensitivity was in my head for a while now and I never did much about it but I just finished a 2 week detox and whoa my face bloat went away+ my stomach was flatter than ever! I always wondered because im skinny but my stomach always stuck out or i tried on an outfit and it fit great one day and not great at all the next. You're absolutely right after I experienced the changes and how my body feels without gluten I don't want to go back, I'm not even craving the things I used to because I know what the result will be! Happy I found your videos! subscribed!

I am SO thankful that I came across your video. I’m now subscribed to your channel and am going to binge watch all your GF videos. I just realized I am gluten intolerant at almost 60 years old. I’ve been dealing with stomach issues, painful bloating, eczema and allergies all my life. I’m also thankful you mentioned eggs because I think I need to cut eggs out of my diet as well. Thank you!

I'm so glad I decided to watch your video! In March of this year my seasonal allergies got SO bad seemingly out of nowhere, and I even developed allergic asthma. Super scary to deal with during a pandemic too. Did not even cross my mind about gluten until October when I started having a lot of stomach issues, achy muscles (almost like growing pains in your legs), tingling in my arms and legs and just general feeling of unwell on top of allergy/asthma symptoms. I've been struggling cutting it out, but could tell after about 2 weeks that I was starting to feel better. Decided to try the GF pizza from dominos and I've been sick all week--must've had too much cross contamination! I know I have to get serious about it and not really get food out for awhile, until I know it's for sure gluten and begin healing. I'm so glad people, myself included, are learning about this issue more and more.

I went gluten free and for the first time my in life my head doesn't feel like it's in a constant fog. It has been really good for my ADHD symptoms as well.

I am definitely gluten free. Two weeks now. I have been sick for years diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis mutalins. So I had the skin issue. But last spring something happened to me. I had the stomach swelling. My husband and I were in shock watching my stomach swell. But my skin just broke out like crazy. And I was very sick. Fatigue and pain. I’m learning to love gluten free food. I order food from thrive market. And my husband is doing a gluten free diet with me. So he looks at all the labels and find recipes that will not make me sick. I hope we both feel better soon. The rash has stopped breaking out and it’s healing. It was just severe and everywhere so it will take time. Thank you for the encouragement. I’m glad you are healthy now. And wiser and stronger. God bless! Leslye

A lot of what you described is me. I've never had eczema, but I have battle cystic acne practically my entire life. I've been dealing with inflammation for the past 5 years, and here lately the symptoms have gotten worse. I dont have all of them, but I do have enough to where I'm not convinced I really need to see a doctor. I have been dreading this day, but I am 99.9% positive I'm gluten sensitive. Thanks for your video!!!
