And when the white spot finally hits the edge of the nail, you should be keeping an eye out for miracles or unexpected luck.

if anyone is wondering why she’s sad in the video, i’m guessing it’s because it’s said that the white spots come from nutrient deficiency, which is often found in people with eating disorders. So, she feels bad because if you have the white spots you might have an eating disorder. She probably didn’t know it’s actually just from trauma to the fingernails. This is all just my guess though.

But nutrient deficiency can make your nails more brittle and more prone to these white spots. When my gut was messed up I wasn’t processing enough nutrients and I got these spots ALL the time. When I went off gluten (discovered I had celiacs) and focused on healing my gut they eventually went away.

When I was little my mom would always tell me that having a white spot on your nail means you're gonna receive a present by the time it reaches the edge of the nail :)

I get these every so often and have for a long time. Over several years I came up with a hypothesis for why they happen. Glad to finally find out my hypothesis was right! Mine probably come from nail biting
