I have beau's lines on the Right thumb that doesn't go away.
Recently I took Zinc and it seemed to help (maybe by speeding nail growth), but it just came a new one In the other side of the nail.

The cuticle on that nail has been detached and not healed completely for more than a year and sometimes becomes red and puffy. Itchy bubbles of liquid appear sometimes arround the edges.

I presume I'm constantly ripping the cuticle doing something, and that leaves it exposed to infection. when the cuticle heals incompletely it puts pressure on the nail healed side, that grows slower than the other, causing a depression on the nails surface.
