PROTEIN SHAKE RECIPE:

1/3 banana
1/4 cup of mixed frozen organic blueberries
1/2 cup of frozen organic spinach
3 ice cubes
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon - this keeps your blood sugar level
1/2 teaspoon of ginger - this strengthens your immune system among many other benefits
1 teaspoon of chia seeds
1 1/2 - 2 cups of coconut water - hands down the best form of hydration

Combine all of these ingredients in a blender or Nutra-Bullet and mix on high for 60 seconds. Enjoy!:))

Excellent tips, especially eating clean, intermittent fasting, and minimize alcohol!👍👍👍I’m also in my mid fourties and have maintained my size 2-4 figure due to the way I eat and exercise! I’m a holistic nutritionist and agree that the key to maintaining your weight is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. I started to eat a Paleo diet in 2011 and actually lost about 10 lbs. I also eat small meals, don’t drink alcohol, eat gluten -free, and only eat a small amount of dairy once per week and rice-based pasta once per week. I eat at least 6 servings of low carb fruit and vegetables, and only drink water and tea. I also only eat when I’m hungry and walk about 2 miles a day for exercise.

I'm a personal trainer and I always tell my clients that want to lose weight that exercise just won't do it. You have to change the way you eat. No snacking! Real food. Seafood and Lots of vegetables. In fact, my first question to my clients is what vegetables did you eat yesterday? Exercise is important but for reasons other than weight loss.

it's so true diet is 80%... I've always been active but my diet was not good I eat real late and drink occasionally so when I turned 41 I started workout 6 days a week, do intermittent fasting, I eat alot of fruits, veggies, salad, salmon, avocado, complex carbs. For smoothie I put blueberry, strawberry, banana, kale, vegan chocolate protein powder and coconut water it tastes like chocolate shakes 😋. I've lost 25 pounds in 3 months 🙌.

I am 46 with 35 lbs to lose. I started eating clean and working out 5 days a week about 3 weeks ago. About 90% of the youtube videos on health, diet & fitness are geared towards women in their teens, 20s and 30s. It is so great to see women in their 40s taking charge of their health. You look 35-36! So glad there is a channel out there for women in their 40s.

Wow, you look phenomenal! I just turned 44 earlier this month and haven’t been as disciplined as I was about a year ago. I’m slowly getting back on the healthy train because honestly, I like to look great in my clothes (for me).

I'm 47 and over 147 pounds!! Please help!!!😊 My youngest is 15 years old. Snacks are not the problem, I love to have a little bubbling at night before I go to bed and that's a hard habit to break. I guess I can work on downsizing my portion sizes as well. Also good luck for all you ladies 40 plus. We got to do this and I know we can!! Thanks hun for the video. I love the advice.

People complain about their weight and how they tried this or that and nothing worked in the end. The truth is u don’t need to try this or that to begin with. All u need to do is to control your mouth! Have discipline and control how much u eat and what u eat. They say, if u can’t control your weight, how can u even control your life? I am 43 years old, 5’5”, 110lbs, 32c bra, 24” waist, 34” hip. I am loosely following what she said in the video. If u follow strictly what she said in the video, oh mine! I can’t even imagine how bony and skinny each of us can be!

Moderation is a good idea UNLESS you are a recovering binge eater, then you cannot have the unhealthy junk foods you once I give in to my craving, I don't stop!!!! Abstinence is key!
