currently addicted to meth and it’s so hard i hate it i never thought i would get addicted. i only told myself i would try it and it helped me with depression and i told myself i would only take it when i’m depressed or sad but it got worse and out of control and i crave it.

I was addicted to amphetamine, methamphetamine, and heroin. None of my friends not even my family supported me, my own mother told me she hated me, that she never loved me and was ashamed to even call me her son. I lost my friends my family everything... I had it. I decided that i was going to overdose and end my self, like a complete fool at a bar of all places. I snorted 5g of speed, smoked around 3.5g of crystal, drank around 1.5 litres of vodka, and to top it all off i smoked H. That didn't do the trick. As I was laying on the ground in the bathroom suffering, I remember asking God, 'God, please help me, end my suffering, help me please, take my pain away' and i survived. I remember coming back home from that bar feeling defeated, I couldn't even end myself. But God had heard me.. a homeless woman saw me crying and utterly destroyed, she walked over to me and hugged me. I will never forget the words she said right after she embraced me 'Don't you worry my son, I love you' i burst into tears sobbing. I hugged that woman and cried in her arms for a good half hour. GOD had heard me. After that day I've been clean for 3 months now, and I'm looking forward to my 20th birthday. Love and peace to all. God is good 🙏

I think it’s so cool that Jeff is on this show. I actually know him from close to where I grew up. He is a real good guy and I’m proud to say that he helped me find my way back to God when I was in rehab. He witnessed to everyone in the center every single week, and I like hearing his story. I know people who knew him in his addiction and apparently he wasn’t the same good man I met when he was using. Hate the disease not the addict. Jeff is a true testament that if he can change his life and find his way back to God than there is hope for me and other addicts like me too.

Psychedelics definitely has potential to deal with health issues like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them but it's hard to source them here

Hamilton is too monotone to be offensive, perfect voice for interviewing. I also have a super monotone voice so I can respect it. Honestly though, you can tell there's 0 judgement on his end every time he's doing an interview, the voice just compliments it well.

I love this. I’m a complete agnostic atheist and have always renounce any sort of deity. I’m now faced with an addiction and have turned to churches because I’m too poor to turn to actual medical help.
I’m replacing my addiction with my own will, and I think church folk will give me that will and will help me.

The funny thing about atheists and nonbelievers is that we write off the small goods that religion can bring because of all of its history of violence thinking being atheist would be better off for the planet.

I know a couple ex-meth addicts who need the threat of hell to stay clean. It has transformed them in many ways. They have relearned patience, kindness, and they have regained control of their life. Whether or not it’s some form of placebo effect- or divine- it’s pretty remarkable to see that sort of self reinvention.
