I will go to bed thinking about the calmness of this woman who lost so much. Yet managed to keep telling her husband... It's Okay... It's Okay...Their Okay.... It's Okay...Thank you for letting us see your strength in this time of strife.

I like how she was able to manage her emotions and had the mindset to calm his anxiety. A hell of a woman, I’m sure

Those poor people. My family lost our home during a tropical storm in Houston in August 2017. Wading through 3 feet of water in our living room and watching the waves lapping against the walls is a sight I’ll never forget. We were rescued by canoe 2 days later.
Those poor people are undergoing a life changing experience and I hope all the best for them during this difficult time.

This video shows how unexpectedly, and quickly, this can happen.

The amount of force that mudslide picked up in such a short amount of time is crazy. You can see why these are so dangerous and destructive. Glad that everyone is okay and it’s only material losses. Cars can be fixed or replaced, so can houses, your lives are much more important. Stay safe and hope that everyone can rebuild what’s been damaged and replace things that were lost. Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this hurricane.

I am very sorry you had to go through this!😢
But, honestly, it could have been even worse!
I am very glad that you are still alive!

I am so happy to see that you have survived the whole thing. Young lady, the poise you held when shock overtook you has been an inspiration in this darkness. May God continue to bless you both.

What a powerful video to bring to life just how this devastation occurred. Grateful for these folks sharing their video, but most of all, grateful they are “OK, ” as that amazing woman kept assuring those around her.

I love how reassuring she was, and how he loves his in-laws and said, "are your parents okay?" 💖🙏💖

I've never seen anything like this before, ever. All of those things can be replaced. I'm truly grateful that you survived.

I don’t think any of us can even imagine what that felt like to watch happen. Complete and utter helplessness. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I admire your courage. I'm so glad your family is together and safe. I'm sending hope and love to you and your family for a strong recovery.

I've been preparing for Hurricane Milton for days, but now my daughter and I have to evacuate... they're predicting a 15' storm surge, and I'm just a mile from the beach. I've lived through MANY hurricanes, but this one... I'm scared.

I'm doing my best to show my daughter the strength and resilience she'll need in such diversity. I hope to show her the same type of stability that you portrayed to those around you. A beacon of hope...

I silently pray that we don't lose everything that I've worked so hard for these last 23 years living here in Venice, Florida...

It's extremely hard to lose your things, both emotionally and financially but it means nothing compared to your life and the lives of your loved ones.

But, you and the people U love are safe and alive.
That is all that matters.
