My NP was really pushing me to try these glp-1 drugs and I'm sure she thinks I'm ignorant for refusing. She claims that they've been around for 25 years and have NO side effects. What rock is she hiding under?!?!?!

Social media tends to glamorize the use of the GLP-1's. Not enough is talked about the drastic side effects ... Cancer is serious and thanks for highlighting but so is pancreatitise, gastroparesis, etc which are more common 😞

With everything that has been coming out about the medical industry, it makes me wonder what happened to the Hippocratic Oath Doctors are intended to abide by. What happened to "do no harm"? How can most Dr's nowadays say they have their clients best interests at heart? There's no more healing going on, it's simply symptom management.

We didn’t have these issues in the 50’s 60’s and 70’s with weight. Yes we had some thyroid issues but not as rampant as it is today. The problem is all the additives that are put in foods. Processed foods, chemical sprays on crops, lack of nutrients in fresh foods from crops being squeezed together to produce more which leaves the crops fighting for soil nutrients. Look up the FDA Title 21 to see what is required to be put in foods! We are ingesting food that should never ever have these ingredients and we are getting fat, sick, cancer, thyroid issues, inflammation etc. we need to have clean wholesome food again.

What about pancreatic cancer? I've recently been curious about this after losing a diabetic friend. I don't know for sure about the GLP-1 drugs, with her, but it made me wonder when she suddenly came down with pancreatic cancer.

Please know your Thyroid's condition. I have low TSH (hyperthyroid), Mounjaro always lowers this number - making your hyperthyroidism worse. Seemingly, It would help Hypothyroid people, as they have high TSH, and lowering it in these people might be beneficial. Then, if you have had cancer before and had radiation, (as I have had 6500 rads), that makes cancer even more likely. I would love to use the box I brought home from the pharmacy and immediately put it in the fridge; however, I too late starting researching and found out "I" cannot take it.

Just learn to control what you eat. It took a lot of gluttony to get to fat so it's going to take a little bit of suffering to get back to thin. The quick fixes are rarely the best.
