Seems the medical system is geared to catch this issue at stage 4 once TSH goes high. If suddenly found to be in stage 4 should initial effort be to stop the autoimmune onslaught or is it necessary to also take thyroid hormone? I.e. a parallel path approach?

I've gotta be stage 4 cause I've already started medication😢 but my bloodwork still shows high antibodies where my thyroid is being attacked by my body.. What else can I do about it besides medication? I'm on NP Thyroid 90mg right now coming from 60mg. She raised it because my thyroid results are still pretty bad

I just found out today i have this. But thing is im trying to gain weight and my appetite is poor, not gonna lie I smoke maryjane even then dont even get the munchies. Ever since i quit drinking a year ago now this came up what else will show up? If i cant find a clear answer to this or find a good doctor willing to give good advice, im going back to drinking soon really soon, didnt have any health issues a year ago while i boozed up. Doc keeps telling me they cant prescribe me anything yet, so what should i just experiment with different meds myself until i hit the right one? God sure has a way of f...g things up when your trying to do the right thing. This aint no consequence of my past drinking, this hashimoto was dormant and woke up. So seriously will alcohol drinking big quantities for days and month put it at ease again? I aint gonna be taking meds all my life, if thats the case the i better start buying my commentary spot cause meds for the rest of my life aint happening
