It took me a while to realize that 12’s “attack eyebrows” sort of makes up for 11’s “lack of eyebrows”.

That part is so powerful. The Clara/Doctor romance feels really reminiscent of the Rose/Doctor romance and I really love it.

I think I just figured out what the Doctor was doing while he was away. Of course, before he returned, he redecorated, but I think I figured out what he was doing before that. In the scene that the 13 Doctors save Gallifrey, the moment when we got a sneak preview of Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor, the light emitting from the time rotor was the same color as the light from the 11th Doctor's 2nd TARDIS time rotor, placing it before the Doctor redecorated. Judging by the way the 12th Doctor acted in that scene, compared to how he acted in the TARDIS in the Time of the Doctor and the beginning of Deep Breath (the Doctor being lost in himself at this time, vs when he left and returned), and the lack of Clara's face and voice, we can tell the only other chance would be when the doctor left clara behind and returned with a redecorated tardis.

It says something about the caliber of Capaldi's performance that he can make "I used to have lots of round things, I wonder where I put them" sound wistful and slightly mysterious

I really love this part, it just sums up all the 11th Doctor and Clara relationship.

When they debuted this design in The Snowmen, I honestly didn't think it suited Matt Smith's Doctor. I mean, it was fine and didn't entirely UNsuit him, but he didn't feel as at home with it compared to the previous design.

Then Capaldi came in, they tweaked the design slightly by adding bookshelves and the sort and I thought, "Ah, THAT'S who it's for."

Given that the TARDIS has dozens of main rooms in its archives, some even from the future (as said in The Doctor's Wife), I like to think the TARDIS got a little ahead of itself.

Capaldi's delivery of "I never said it was your mistake" is so heart wrenching. He really is Our Doctor. The Doctor we the fans imbued. Capaldi is truly one of us. A fan. He understands the tragedy of this tortured soul AND the endless giddiness he has! That zest for life that girds him forward. The thirst for knowledge and adventure. The need to right wrongs and save humanity from itself and whatever else dares to defy him. The Caretaker Doctor. "I never said it was your mistake." He delivers the role in that instant as if he were Matt Smith himself. He's an old soul trapped in a young body and an immature juvenile trapped in and old man's husk. The Timeless Child. Capaldi groks The Doctor and was such a treat in the role.

Well, I've lived for over 62 years, and no matter how old the video, or how many times I've watched them, or which incarnation he is .... The Doctor is the most amazing character ever. Each one has his own special quality, his own special take on the character and his own special way to draw me into the most amazing and compelling story arcs ever.
