The Doctor really emphasising just how important it was to him that he tried to talk and understand these creatures is such an underrated gem

"I tried to talk, I want you to remember that, I tried to reach out, I tried to understand you...." wow that line broke my heart.

"you are monsters; that is the role you seem determined to play. So I must play mine..." that is one of the best lines ever to me

This is the episode where Peter became the Doctor for me. He spent some of the episode sadly absent from some fantastic monsters, then bursts in like an explosion and performs a big, fantastically acted monologue, knocking them out. That's when he became 'The Doctor'

Rule One of travelling with the Doctor: The Doctor lies

Rule One of BEING the Doctor: Use your enemies' powers against them

"The man that stops the monsters" such a heroic line always brings a tear in my eye.

"This plane is protected!" One of my favorite episodes in Capaldi's run. And my gosh, what a great team he and Clara made!

Is it just me, or does the Tardis in siege mode look eerily like the Pandorica?

I expected Flatline to be a terrible episode. How surprised I was.

Peter Capaldi was, is, and always will be, fantastic. The man can say more in a glance than many other actors can in a full monologue, and when he gets a full monologue, he gives you chills, no matter how many times you've seen it. Just a stunning, commanding presence.

'And I name you the boneless' - that seems like a reference to the Tenth Doctor, during the episode with Martha Jones 'the Shakespeare Code'. They explain that you can use a the power of a name to defeat someone once, which the doctor uses to name doomfinger a Carrionite during the episode. That or it's a very marvelous coincidence.

This is when capaldi became the doctor for me, not that he wasn't good until this episode, it was just sort of "his moment".

This is why I love Doctor Who. “I am the man that stops the monsters.”

Bless you, Doctor. Bless you.

Chills. This is the essence of The Doctor. He'll give his enemies several chances to turn away from their evil actions, and when they mistake his mercy for weakness, he goes scorched earth. At first he was concerned how safe his method for sending them home was, but they pushed their luck and now he only cares that enough survive to deliver his warning.

Man, the moment the TARDIS "lands" on the tracks after being restored and blasts the monsters away with its shield... that was SO AWESOME!! It sends chills down my spine every time!

You can tell how furious the TARDIS was at being shrunken and almost losing her thief just in the way she lands *at an angle!*

“I tried to talk. I want you to remember that. I tried to reach out, I tried to understand you, but I think that you understand us perfectly. And I think you just don't care. And I don't know whether you are here to invade, infiltrate or just replace us. I don't suppose it really matters now. You are monsters. That is the role you seem determined to play. So it seems that I must play mine. The man that stops the monsters. I'm sending you back to your own dimension. Who knows? Some of you may even survive the trip. And, if you do, remember this. You are not welcome here. This plane is protected. I am the Doctor. And I name you The Boneless!”

Clara was really like Doctor. Moreover, her plan and that phrase
They can't restore three dimensions to a door that never existed
Delighted me so much

I was introduced to this show earlier this year and I binge watched every single episode from the reboot onward. I've learned that it always hurts to lose a Doctor and yet, every new regeneration brings with it something wonderful. I suppose we can only reach every beautiful day, through the ending of the one before it.
