Did anyone else realize that Matt Smith looks right at the screen, the audience when he says “I’ll always remember when the doctor was me” he was making us a promise

I love how you can tell it's not just the Doctor but Matt Smith speaking when he says "I will not forget one line of this. Not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me."

I love the symbolism in him taking off the bowtie. To me it means that he's fully accepted that his time is up

I just love the quick turnaround from bawling my eyes out at 11’s heartfelt speech to laughing my ass off at 12’s exchanges with Clara. Clara’s face is absolutely PRICELESS.

*The Man who regrets...*
"I don't want to go"

In the beginning he was her imaginary friend. In the end, she was his.

"How can a Face so Young, have such Old Eyes"

One of my favorite lines ever spoken too the 11th Doctor, and how its stuck with me for all these years

One of the reasons I love the part where Amy is descending the stairs is because it shows that after all those years, Eleven remembers everything about her, the littlest details, right down to the nail polish she wore

This is definitely the most emotional regeneration yet. Simply based on the fact that he didn’t try to fight it. Smith somehow both was able to portray both how energetic he was as the Doctor, as well as how tired he was.

Doctor: *REGENERATES*
TARDIS: you know the drill, get out

There’s something that always strikes me about Matt Smith’s/Eleventh’s regeneration. It felt less like he was dying, but someone exiting the stage. I always felt the Doctor as a showman, they manage to captivate an audience with their presence.

Him just dropping his bow tie represents the end of his act, and stepping down for the next one.

This right here will be one of my favorite shows ever, and it always will be.

"I will not forget one line of this. Not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me."

That sounded like Matt Smith speaking, to me.

when the doctor regenerates, you go from crying to laughing because the next doctor is always funny right after the previous doctor's regeneration.

I didn’t cry till Amelia said to him “Raggedy man goodnight”

After that I was a mess

Capaldi’s “stay calm”; “do you happen to know how to fly this thing” sold me on his performance

You know it's serious when Matt takes off his bow tie

Fourth wall breaking for "I will always remember when the doctor was me" that broke me so much
Matt smith you legend
He is my all time favourite

The fact that he looks at the camera, implying that he was happy that the Doctor was him is a 4th wall break that even the breaks would burst out crying

I remember liking this quote as a teenager, but now as a young adult it hits different. I changed so much since then, I experienced much grief, but I also became more happy with who I am…his words really resonate with me. Because I am not who I was in high school, but I also won’t forget who I was then. Both version of me deserve respect
