I use to live in Southern California. I was in the Lander quake, which was a 7.4 I was stationed in the military in Fort Irwin, California in 1991. I think I got your attention. You heard it come before you felt it. It was pretty much like a freight train, the military housing started rocking back-and-forth a solid 12 inches we were and got our kids outside and the entire desert valet was turned into a dust. The dust was rising from the desert was climbing up to 100 200 300 feet three hours later big Bear lake had an after shake of 6.3 I didn’t ever get up off the sofa
