I think that person on the sofa was a young boy/girl. The blanket was instinct, he/she was afraid. The blanket represented security. But, not for long, he ran out of the room. I have been through many quakes in so cal. I learned to take shelter over the years, afterwards I became emotional, as I relaxed.

I remember this earthquake. I was at my friend's house and we were jumping around. We didn't feel it as we were so distracted, but my mom called immediately. Glad i was distracted, i have a huge fear of earthquakes.

For all the people with so much to say about the person hiding under a blanket; an earthquake is an extremely terrifying event and most people in shock react without knowing what to do. Earthquakes have even caused heart attacks and no one, not even people from California and other earthquake prone areas ever get used to them. #be nice
