I have anxiety because I have Lyme disease and that caused me to have severe anxiety and I have been very anxious for a few weeks but now it is starting to get better but whenever I am having anxiety I just keep repeating “you’re fine” and it distracts me from thinking about my anxiety. If you’re having anxiety I just want to remind you that it will be ok and if you’re having a panic attack it won’t last forever and it will get better.

I overcame anxiety or well still in the process. Start saying yes to things is great. I used to have anxiety everyday and panic attacks every now and then. I thought that anxiety will stay in my life forever. Now is a lot better. True, no one can't help you but yourself. i have been trying different techniques that work for me and sometimes I even forget about anxiety. I said no to medication because it made me feel like a zombie or like I was someone else. Cognitive behavioral therapy helped me as well. Anxiety and panic attacks are pure hell. Accept the fact that it last a few minutes and that anxiety will not kill me has helped me a lot. Also whenever I have a panic attack I just let it be, I don't fight it, I instead listen to music or distract myself with whatever I have at the moment. Hope everyone finds a technique that works for you :) and thank you Clancy for posting this video because it is inspiring.

Getting through anxiety is the most crazy thing.. I remember just telling myself again and again 'you're being stupid' and sometimes it didn't work and sometimes it did.. And when it did I felt AMAZING :)

this reminds me of my social anxiety. it was really bad a few years ago and i thought it would never get better. i was hopeless, but i woke up one day and it was slightly better. and ik that’s not much but i was SO happy and hopeful again. the next day it was still bad obviously but i was so hopeful for the future, and slowly but surely it got better. i’m still anxious in certain situations and i’m still working on it, but i’m so proud for how far i’ve come

I had intense anxiety (nightly anxiety attacks) almost exactly to what you experienced. I had a severe allergic reaction and after that I avoided so many different foods for a really long time. People thought I was crazy and kept saying it was all in my head. But when I would get the tickle in my throat, the tightness, unable to breathe, focusing on each breath - it was all about what I was feeling. No one could talk me out of it and I would check my face for hives multiple times a minute during an anxiety attack. I too was able to almost completely overcome it. Every once in a while it resurfaces slightly but between yoga, therapy and positive outcomes (not dying); I'm able to live my life normally. I never thought I would be I am. Thank you for sharing your story because it is beyond similar to mine and i am glad you were able to get where you are now! 💜

Ok, this comment is late but I have stress induced anxiety attacks. And the thing is, I'm expected to be this perfect child and get straight A's, so when I have just piles of homework and projects and chores etc. My mind will shut down, my body will shut down, and I will just start crying uncontrollably, thankfully it's never gotten so bad to the point where I had to go to the hospital, but its caused my grades to drop because even the thought of doing all these projects makes it worse and I just end up laying on the floor crying. I have not completely overcome this, but I've learned to kind of slow my heart beat down and remind myself of why I'm going to school and what my goals are. But thank you Clancy, you are really inspirational, and hearing your stories makes me grateful for what I do have, like the ability to control my anxiety a little bit more than most people. So thank you.

I have anxiety and I honestly don't know what triggers it sometimes it can be the smallest thing and it was so bad once I even threw up. But I found if I try to stay positive and realize it's not the end of the world every time something bad happens then I feel so much better. I'm still struggling with it but every day I don't have an attack is one step closer to my freedom. Thanks for such an inspiring video!

I hope I get to say HAD one day. I don't get panic attacks but instead a constant stream & it's mixed w/depression so it's awful. Luckily these videos give me some hope it will pass. Might not, but it also might :)

I got my first anxiety attack about 6 months ago and never have had it before. Ever since I've had constant anxiety. I pray to god I can get my life back because I've always been so happy. Positive stories like yours are all I have to hold on for hope. Thank you for this video. When you said "you will too" I started crying tears of joy.

We both overcame our anxiety the same exact way!! That's seriously what worked for me and that's why selflessness is something I will always always treasure and strive to always be. You're such an empowering & inspiring person for putting your story out there, Clancy! I don't even know you personally but you're literally one of my favorite people. Keep doin you, girl!

omg Clancy! this is exactly how I cured my panic attacks too. I had to come to terms with dying at that moment, and since then I've survived every one.

I remember watching this video seven years ago, and I have followed you since!

I went back and watched again now because I recently started having serious panic attacks for the first time in my life at 26. I watched it with completely different eyes now than back then, and I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story!

You speak so encouraging, and it really helps me believe that I will overcome this too. The fear when you have anxiety feels so real, it is a feeling I haven’t experienced since I was still a child. It feels good to know that I’m not alone and that tons of other people have experienced it too and got through it somehow.

Wish you all the best🥰

I love how you opened to us on your Anxiety experience. Everything said throughout the course of the Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 is something I relate to so much, you described my feelings in a way I just couldn't. Thank You, Clancy Burke

Thank you for posting this! I have been dealing with anxiety attacks and can relate to you as you felt like your anxiety attack was so serious you felt like you were going to die. It's so hard to explain to someone else too, thats what makes it so much more suffocating. This video is going to help people!!!

Thank you so much Clancy for making this video, I have health anxiety which means I don't mind going out and do stuff with my friends, but I am constantly thinking I have a disease or something, always googling stuff, seeing symptoms were they don't exist. It's just so easy for people who don't know to say 'just stop thinking about it, it's all in your head'. If only they could understand. It's like telling somebody who smokes to stop smoking or an anorexic person that they are fine with their weight. I am trying to control this, stop googling stuff and please people, if you are struggling with anxiety talk to a specialist to help you xx
