Delt with nearly 20 years of novus ordo thinking this was the peak of worship, glad I became orthodox

Yesterday, Sunday, I counted 21 altar boys/young men at the procession at FSSP church. They couldn't fit them all at the altar, of course, so some had to stay in sacristy. And this is in a remote a church at the outskirts of a small town! Meanwhile, our more populous NO church struggles to find the youth for altar service, at the most they get 3-4, mostly girls, occasionally a boy. And then they wonder why there is a shortage of priests.

I briefly knew a young man who converted from Anglicanism to Easten Orthodox. He said he would have become Catholic but it was the Bogus Ordo which stopped him.

As an EO, my prayer is that after all this chaos in the RCC you all dump the innovations and return to the pre-800AD faith. [Time approximate, acknowledging many innovations came before the 1054 schism] What a blessing that will be. ☦️🙏💕

I am orthodox from Serbia and my catholic friends told that just over 100 years age most of the catholic churches haven't benches just like orthodox.
I think that catholic church is too much in competition with her rebelies child(protestants), and in that competition CC took many things from protestants, benches for example(and Vatican 2 later), and because of that today CC got more problem then ever before.
As ortohodox i still think that CC is the only valid church just like orthodox regrards for our i call missunderstandings.

The Novus Ordos is the false church foreseen by many Saints, especially Saint Padre Pio, the blessed Anne Catherine Emerich, etc… Also foretold by Our Lady of La Salette, Our Lady of Good Success. The Church is going through the passion as Jesus once was.

Well at least those of us with Latin language liturgical notions can take all that stuff home with us to enjoy as our own Latin Reader's Service. It's not like the Catholic priests are using it. EO (GOC) and I love Latin, I have a version of the Usual Beginning in it!!

Grew up Protestant, and now entering the Catholic Church O can say nothing about the NO is in anyway similar to protestant churches.

I've been in the Holy Sepulchre recently and attended Mass of St. Paul VI, said by the Franciscans. It was beautiful.

They think we trashed our own tradition.
Who's traditions. Where is the tradition of humility that Christ tried to instill in us. Look at our churches and Vatican are they humble or extravagant buildings. The way our clergy dress is like the way the Pharisees dressed and Christ criticised them. Our church is farm from the humility that He requires from all of us. Where is the tradition of walking among and keeping close to sinners. Our church thinks it is above all that. Where is the tradition of giving communion in the hand that stood for hundreds of years while Christ was trying to instill in us humility by giving himself in a humble way. But you would rather do it your way.

The novus ordo is fine. It allows protestants no room to deny our liturgy. It's in the vernacular so protestants have no excuse since it's not in Latin. They can understand it
