10 reasons I can never be Protestant again

I grew up in nominal Protestant home, in a heavily Protestant area of the United States.
We went to church simi regularly at first, then occasionally, then not all.

When I was in my early 20s I wanted to start living life as a Christian. So, I asked God to show me which church he wanted me to join, and he made it clear that it was the Catholic church. I didn't took that to mean Catholicism was absolutely true and all other churches were wrong at the time.  Just that God wanted me to be Catholic. I saw it as no different then any other denomination. It was right for me but someone else might need to be baptist or Methodist or whatever.

However, my Protestant friends and family didn't see it that way. They seemed to think any church was ok, except the Catholic church. And they routinely challenged my faith, making all kinds of accusations against the Catholic church. So I decided to do research and see if these accusations were true. I began reading the bible, looking into history, reading the early church fathers, and educating myself on what the Catholic church teaches.

Over time I came to the conclusion that Catholicism is the absolute truth, and Protestantism is in serious error.

Received the Eucharist for the first time last night and it was the most beautiful experience!

I was baptized Catholic as an infant but grew up not knowing anything Christian. I gave my life to Jesus for the first time around Feb 2023. I started reading the Bible in a Year w/ Fr. Mike every day and praying the rosary daily too. Around Easter 2023 I attend a Church with a friend for the first time. Other times I've been to church was for a family death.

I attended what I now know was an Anglican Church for several months. But I had to leave b/c of the lack of Sacraments and reverence. I felt unworthy of taking the Body and Blood of Jesus b/c I was in a state of mortal sin. I didn't know about Mortal and venial sins at the time but I do now. It was hard for me to leave this church b/c I was leaving a good community. They were good people but I wasn't there for them I was there for Jesus.

I honestly believe that by praying the Rosary daily given to us by the Blessed Virgin Mary, she led me to my First Confession in Dec 2023. Now I'm in RCIA going to get Confirmed and partake in my First Communion March 19, 2024. I feel much closer to Christ!

Napolean once said to the Pope "I can destroy the Catholic Church if I want to", to which the Pope replied "If we haven't managed to destroy it in 2000 yrs you're not going to be able to". 😂 True.

Thank you! I am a cradle Catholic who left the church and then was saved in 2013. I have spent the past 10 years in Protestantism and now I’m returning to Catholicism praise God! 🎉

So glad to hear this. Christ knocked on my heart at 16. First church I went to was Baptist. Got married in a FourSquare. Last church was nondenominational quasi mega church. Stopped going in 2014. Last Aug (2021), after arduous road in life and exploration, was convinced to convert to Catholicism primarily because of the beautiful truth of the holy Eucharist. Have been meeting with priest since September. Protestantism is too impoverished and cosmetic to ever return. Glad God is drawing many of us to the Church.

Goodness, I have so much to say.
As a Protestant (looking to convert) I thank you so much for this video. Thank you so much for taking the time to put up all the resources and Biblical references. I was frantically taking notes throughout this entire video.
I was once approached by some members of the Mormon church, who were eager and well versed in their tactics on converting people. They kept saying they were the one true church. Then, a few months later, I was approached by some Jehovah Witnesses, who, like the Mormons, said the same things. (Of course they had very different views and beliefs.) They also claimed to be the one true church. I ended up telling my best friend about this, who is Baptist, and naturally she said, "Oh no, WE are the one true church." I do not know why it took me three times of hearing that, but I knew that they all three couldn't be correct. And I knew that historically, the first church was the Catholic church. Ever since then, I've been trying to learn more and more about the Catholic church. Fun fact, it's best to ask a Catholic about their beliefs, rather than anyone else. :)

The prosperity gospel is downright blasphemous; not a church at all. Please pray for the victims of this bad theology.

This is excellent. Cradle Catholic here who was very lazy for too many years but I'm back stronger than ever. I cried at every Mass for two months when I came back...so happy to be there. I was home and here I remain.

Just thought you'd like to know that it was this video - and in particular, the closing statement - that was the final straw about 2 months ago. It put the fear of God in me so as to embrace the Catholic faith and now I'm regularly meeting with the local priest so as to be confirmed next year.

Been flirting with returning to my childhood (evangelical) roots for nearly a decade. Catholicism wasn't even a consideration. Then the Catholic apologetics algorithm found me after watching some videos on the Turin shroud. It's all been coming on thick and fast since then.

Keep up the good work.

I think Protestant converts are the best Catholics because of their knowledge of the Bible. I was born Catholic, and it is only now in the advent of the internet and Youtube that I am learning a lot about my religion which I never heard from any priest. It was just pure faith that kept me inside the church when big waves of lies and deceit from the Protestants were rampant during the 90's.

Thank you, Sir for the video. Having been raised in Germany and in the Lutheran church, I was confused by the American version of Lutheranism which flatly denies it's own history. Actually studying the Bible & history, there's only one choice in faith - the Catholic Church. Your brief summary of the major problems within the protestant mindset is absolutely correct. Thank you again, for your efforts. Pax

Being Catholic makes me feel the heaven are so alive with holy men and women, praying for us and singing glory to God during the mass. It makes me feel united in the body of Christ through the Holy Communion in every parts of the 🌍. Happy feeling.

Best apologetics. I'm a convert, you have nailed it. I have no regrets and I'm never leaving, when you find the truth you cleave to it.

This is a very helpful video. Thank you. I am about to start RCIA. A little scared of transitioning over to the Catholic church but there's no denying God is moving me in this direction.

Great testimony. As one who almost left the church for evangelicalism in college about 40 years ago, I began a deep dive in Scripture and looking into many of these questions. It was a no brainer to stay Catholic. The topics of this video are great points to consider, especially how the canon developed. Even in this crazy Francis pontificate, these points don’t waver. Thanks for putting this together!!!

Amen. This is the truth. I am former protestant. The protest is over. I genuinely encourage any Protestant Christian to investigate the claims of the Catholic Church and research the history of the faith.

I’m Protestant. I’m not happy with it. It’s like Christianity Lite, the weight watcher’s version with all the creamy richness stripped out of it - especially when it comes to Communion/Eucharist. Jesus said ‘by their fruit you will know them’, well, my prayer life was a grab bag of spiritual popcorn - until I learned to pray the Rosary and got some REAL victory over sins that beset me, and also experienced the most severe pushback from the devil. I am ashamed that Protestants have so little regard for Mary. The blessed mother of God has had me in tears when I pray the Rosary. Moving out of Protestantism soon, just have to see a few commitments through before that…

I was raised in a very strong Catholic family, and believed all of the teachings o the Church. However, in 1972, I met some high school friends who were sincere Baptists. They presented what they had learned about the errors of the Church. Unfortunately, I believed some of their doctrine. I tried for the next seven years to attend various evangelical Protestant churches, received Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and continued to attend the Catholic Church while still going to the various other Christian Communions . However, I knew something was amiss. I began reading all of the New Testament's 27 books, asking the Holy Spirit to open my mind to the Truth. I then went to Confession for the first time in several years. I then dropped all involvement with the Protestant bodies.
It is a blessing to have returned to the Catholic Faith, " Which was once and for all delivered unto the saints".
( Jude 3). I'm moved by the major moves by our Protestant Brethren to join the Catholic Church. May Jesus continue to send His graces to us all, who are Redeemed by His Precious Blood!
