Mountainsmith Strapettes: First Look

I've been using my Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar pack for over 5 years. Recently, I purchased the Mountainsmith strapettes that allow you to configure your lumbar pack in a "Backpack." This modification is very simple you just remove the single messenger style strap and attach the Strappettes.

Used 'em for around 15 years with the Mountainsmith "Day" lumbar pack. I used the pack for library visits before I mostly Kindled books, and they can hold a LOT of weight very comfortably! Highly recommended.

Watching your video reminded me of the buttpacks we used to have during my days as an Infantry officer in the Army. I bought a set of the strapettes to go with my Mountainsmith Tour. Love it! Thanks for sharing!

I have a Marmot Highlander lumbar pack that I got in 2004? well it never really carried a lot of weight very well (bounced around) I put some Mountainsmith
strapettes on it and it was like the difference between nite and day...it has been my goto day hiking setup for the last ten years love it!
