I feel your pain. Aside from that your tank is way too small, needs a filter to clean water, and needs more water. Goldfish poop is poisonous so if you don’t have a good filter they will die of poison.

I know the feeling of that I actually experience that same thing just like what happened to you I checked on my tank one day and my fish was not moving I thought he was sleeping but then I realised fish don't sleep I grabbed him he wasn't moving you was completely lifeless and I said goodbye and I dig up a grave of him I lost many pets in my life parrots I made a grave for him one ran away and one just died I know what the feeling what type of feeling it is to lose something that's been your friend for a year I know the feeling of that😢
