Fish are some of the most underrated animals especially for pets. I remember my pet gold fish we had for more then six years would recognize my hand and let me pet them. They would play with my hand but would never do it to anyone else in my family. I was usually the one taking care of them I loved my fishies. Rip Pinto, Oro y huevon

Those were some really beautiful fish. I'm so sorry for your loss. Especially if these are fish that you've had since they were juveniles and you've had the chance to watch them grow and develop their mature characteristics. People think "it's just a fish", but those that you have can display real personalities. My heart hurts thinking that you lost them all so suddenly. I'm glad you didn't seem to have lost all in the cold snap.
