How a Car Broker Would Negotiate a Car Deal

To save the MOST time in negotiating a car deal, I usually gather all my information and plug it into a template email listing off:

1. What deal terms I'm looking for.
2. Trade value and trade payoff
3. FICO Credit Scores
4. The Precise Vehicle

Using the link you've provided, would that also mean a "hit" on the record?

various dealerships have let my family and friends go...I guess the offers/numbers were too low. Make no mistake, they (dealerships) will let you GO if the deals are not in their best interest.

Why would you want to talk payments with them instead of Out The Door Price? They can manipulate payment numbers and easily get you upside down on your vehicle as soon as you sign the contract. The only number that matters is the Out The Door Price!!

OMG!! this is exactly what I did yesterday at the Lexus dealership.. and the sales guy said the same thing.. what can we do to get you in this car today? I did exactly what you said to do in your videos that I was only there to drive .. and that I was shopping around ...I told him if I can see some numbers so I can compare them with the other dealerships he got so angry we ended up leaving 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋😳😳😳

Solid video, Ari! I really like this template approach and definitely makes it easier to navigate cross-shopping between dealerships. Like you said, it's basically doing your homework/due diligence, but organizing it in such a way to create much less hassle when going to a dealership. Plus, with everything organized, you know exactly where to look if they try to play any games with you (APR too high, low ball trade-in value, not competitive on price, etc...) so you can counter offer or walk away knowing you did your part.

Real good stuff, sir!

Ari, I've watched most of your videos so far and I am amazed at your talent, knowledge and sincerity. Needless to say, I'm in the market for a new car and have reached out to you via your website. Great job keeping car buyers informed and spreading the info. :)

Just want to share my story with my experience. I just had with car dealer in CALIFORNIA. Went in to see a car that we test drive and we liked. We sat down and worked out numbers, it was late at night. They come out and tell me we have a bank that will finance and take the trade in. I have a Pathfinder 2015 still owe money. I’m upside down like 9000. Well to make my story short. They call me the next day and tell me they can make it happen, but without the trade in. They wanted me to voluntarily let go of my car the Nissan Pathfinder and that they can make the deal go thru with numbers we talked about.

This makes perfect sense. Because I was one of those in the bdc department. Now question how do you make sure you get paid even if the customer doesn’t complete the down payment amount. As what dealerships called pick up payment. She just lost her 2000 dollars and the car. I am guessing on this one there is nothing I can do.

Wanted to get your opinion on what I feel could be a potential tactic to squash negotiation on a used car. So I email on Sunday that I would like to test drive a car that I see has been for sale for 80 days. I say I would like a test drive on Tuesday. I get an email saying they will check schedules on Monday. They then email me on Monday saying someone is test driving today and will get back to me. Later they email saying the customer did not want the car because we couldn’t do the $1500 discount they wanted. To me this is A. Setting up urgency B. Sending a no discount message.

Are you still able to negotiate with cars that sell well, like a 2020 Toyota Tacoma especially since it’s got some new features?

You should do a video on annual credit report and how you can get your credit report for free. It’s absolutely free!! I used to work for a company named Lexington Law firm and know so much about Credit and stuff.

Question, why would anyone use a car broker if they are trying to get a good deal? Ok so you get your client a great deal, then they have to pay you, hows that a great deal? The money you saved them they pay you with it, kinda seems useless in my opinion. Or have we as a culture really gotten this lazy?

Why do I care that a salesman doesn't want me to leave? I don't understand.

I m love your videos, glad I came across your channel, subscriber! I put your link on Facebook because unlike some YouTube channels you actually provide a service. Keep it coming. My son is looking to buy a forerunner and I am looking to buy a Toyota RAV4 on the same day . Good strategy? I think so because it’s both or none at the dealership. What’s your thoughts Sir. Keep them coming
