Typically, the car broker model operates in a few different ways.

A car buying service such as the one I operate revolves around charging the client a flat service charge of $295. There are various companies such as Boston Automotive Consulting that operate like this and are typically a one man or two man show.

Car brokers in states that have specific licensing or recognize car brokers as a business, usually charge take a commission from the dealership. Typically this commission can range, and is left to the broker to decide how much money he'd like to make on the deal.

Car buying services out there such as TrueCar are no different than your traditional car broker. They too also take a commission from dealerships for referrals or sales that come from their websites.

I wave my brokers fee the moment the dealership asks. I charge $400 new, $500 used, $700 premium, $100 concierge delivery. All fees half do up front upon agreement. Then I go to work beast mode. I try to have 5 to 6 dealerships on the hook. Delivery turnaround is 2 to 3 days depending on clients timeframe. Of course if they need the vehicle sooner I take that into consideration. Love your channel bro. Keep it up.

At the end of the day you have to make a living. I do like that you have a fee structure set. It lets people know what they are getting into upfront. Great video.

Your videos are very educational, appreciate the time you take. I have a question, what sites do brokers use to check dealer inventory or locating new cars..?

I’ve been watching for awhile now and I appreciate your candor. What do you think of companies like Vroom and other online car sales?

Thanks for the information. There is nothing wrong with you earning a living. At the end of the day, we all work to make as much money as we possibly can. However, there is nothing I hate more than dealing with dishonest people or people who conveniently omit information they know you should be made aware of. Being in the security business for almost 30 years, I can sniff BS from a mile away. I ABSOLUTELY hate the car buying/leasing experience. Your video suggest I should find a broker who completely represents me. I will. Hopefully, I find a good one.

A lot of dealerships dont pay commision to brokers but maybe they do if they you bring them more sales. I only charge the clients a flat fee and dont take a commission because it shows my clients im on their side

Hmm, it seems if a broker pay structure is they take a commission off the deal from the dealership that seems like it could potentially be a conflict of interest. Ari, couldn’t that be an opportunistic scenario not in the favor of the customer? From your experience and observation what are your thoughts?

Any recommended brokers outside of NE...like western PA area?

Should I ask the broker what commission structure they are going to be receiving from the dealership or will that come off as rude? I am in LA and this broker says they don't charge me and are working for me to get the best deal, but obviously the car dealership will be paying them... just trying to figure out the best approach if I should use a broker or buy myself.

I am a new dealer and broker so I searched on YouTube in order to learn and do the right thing. Thanks for the video! Btw I play basketball with only Armenians and I lived in Glendale, CA for many many years and none of them speak and sound like you. You don’t have that heavy Armenian accent

How does it work if your client is in another state?

I live in NJ and are there brokers in NJ that will charge a flat fee instead of taking the commission from the dealership? I would like the broker to be flexible where he will deal with another dealership if I change my mind and I’d like the broker to be at the dealership when finalizing the paperwork.

How do you really know the brokers are not double dipping? Should I target approx $1K below invoice?

my credit union has a buying service, I don't know how good it is. I guess I could get a bid from them & Costco to see how they compare.
