This is so true, the 1st language I learned was Java which was so difficult for a 1st language, that combined with procrastination made it harder but once I got more consistent and then moved onto other C derived languages like python, C# and javascript it all became easier :P

Dude this is totally true. I did c++ and java twenty years ago. HTML, javascript, css, PHP, python, bash, apache, nginx, linux from scratch, sql admin via mariadb and native mysql and so much more with the Web dev stuff ending about 4 years ago and the OS and networking stuff still attracting my attention now. Did I finish my degree? No. I've worked in construction and security and not really much success there either. I have no confidence or self belief which ventures or at least used to towards self-hatred and once you have that you will do all the self-sabotage possible. Thank you for the moment of catharsis, helps to say it and I am getting towards happy now. Youth is wasted on the young 😉

Absolutely agree. My biggest problem is my ego apparently, I don’t spend enough time reading docs and think after 2 examples I can just code a new project from scratch. What a concept, to take a day fully understanding the classes and methods rather than just randomly smooshing them together !

this is soooo hard. MUCH EASIER SAID THEN DONE 😩😩😩😩😩
