With the current version of steam you can add your drives by going to "Steam>Settings>Storage>Click on Drop down at the top> Add Drive. Once you add the other drive, your existing steam library on that drive will be recognized and your installed games will be recognized by steam.👍

For the new steam app, just go to storage, add the drive where the common folder under steamapps are, then close re open your steam, it should work fine

The key is don't locate the 'steamapps'folder, select the previous one

Thank you. When I saw that when I originally had it look at the drive, it created a new folder. I deleted that new folder Steam created, removed the library from Steam then did your instructions and everything lit up.

I have run into this issue and steam once again updated their user interface and the download option is different. I have no idea as to fix this currently.

Thanks for this my dude. I did not notice the drop down for the add new steam folder button. For those of you out there, you want to remove the storage drive that has your games, then choose to add new folder. This is because the choose another location won't work if the drive is other wised used.

Nice! I was having some controller issues a couple weeks ago and uninstalled steam then reinstalled it again. I logged back in and found I had to download everything again but the old files/games/folders were still taking up space on my drives despite showing up as not installed on steam. I could see them on the 'apps' thing on Windows 10 but couldn't remove them. I was actually looking for a completely different type of video when this showed up in the search and I was finally unable to uninstall the games I wasn't playing and free up some much needed space.
