The March banking crisis was likely just the "overture" to what could happen before the end of the year. Something is likely to break by the end of the year, says Lobo Tiggre of the Independent Speculator. He expects the Fed will be forced to pivot which will be bullish for gold. However, silver and platinum may not perform as well in an economic downturn, he says.

Watch Dr. Copper. Silver has a ton of uses unlike platinum. Solar panels alone will keep the demand for silver up.

The commercial real estate market loans will break the system. They are typically no-recourse loans, interest only payments, and they typically need to be refinanced every 3-5 years.
Hotels, office buildings, shopping malls, and large multi-family properties (apartment buildings) all need to refinance their loans in the next few years.
In San Francisco we have seen several large properties get handed back to the banks.

$100 oil is a gift...truly worried about $200-$300 oil/barrel where we will not be able to afford the gas for cars...and which I believe will still be cheap😅

Peter Schiff his fellow Porto Rican resident stresses that we are not doing well in beating the inflation as the recent down turn is largely due to the price of oil going down and the dollar being strong. However, those two have recently turned in the other direction, so according to Peter, the Fed is no where closed to be done with its fight. Peter also points out that Volker used to beat the white house on cutting spending while he was trying to fight inflation. Powell stays clear of any request towards Biden who keeps spending at an alarming rate undermining the whole effort. So I agree with Lobo, something will break soon as high interest rates are here to stay. Forget the pivot people, not with higher energy cost, Putin and the Saudis cutting production and Biden spending on stupid stuff (War and Student Loans).
