Hurricane Milton storm surge projections for Tampa Bay area

Make sure you stay away from the construction done during the 70s and earlier as you might as well be parked next to a giant grenade. Housing density in Tampa area is insane.

The Tampa General Hospital is on Davis Island. Dumb place for a hospital. Time to close it and build a new one in someplace where you don't have to cross a bridge to get to it. Bad city planning. Having a hospital in a place where you can't get to it when it will be needed most.

Well they finally listened. At cat 5 is no joke. But a storm that strong can’t hold that strength for long. Thank the lord for all the dry air and wind shear. It would have been much worse if those factors didn’t meet up at the right time.
