One of my friends recently bought helldivers 2 and he absolutely loves the scorcher, he loves it so much that every time I have the scorcher equipped I let him kill me so he can pick it up and use it throughout the mission.

Ahh, the scorcher. The one gun in the game that has generally not felt like it needs a buff nor nerf except for that part where it really does kinda need a buff to ammo economy. Just feels very good until you happen to be out of mags a bit earlier than you should have been sometimes.

The scorcher is so good, but I’ve swapped over to the dominator myself. It really just boils down to whether you’re wanting to deal with chaff and striders vs devestators, berserkers and heat sinks. Both do everything, but specialize accordingly

The Scorcher feels like the golden standard that all primaries should be balanced around. It's so reliable but not overpowered, with notable drawbacks. Hopefully, once things are balanced up, the Scorcher winds up middle of the pack purely through buffs of underpowered weapons.

I like to pair the Scorcher with the Grenade Launcher and Supply Pack against bugs. They have surprising synergy.
The GL is unreliable against Chargers, while the Scorcher pops them in only a few quick shots.
The Scorcher is lacking against groups and Spewers? Well good think I've got a bunch of far-reaching explosives!
And of course the supply pack means both of those ammo hungry weapons never run out.

The only blind spot this loadout has is Titans, but that's something that is easily fixed with everyone's favorite big bomb.

Ive always loved plasma weapons... Some may tell from the pfp. Either way when I saw the scorcher i knew I had to have it and I B lined to get it. I was not disappointed when I got it and I will continue to use it until a worthy plasma weapon replaces it.

Here's my obligatory comment for the algo. Eravin, you rule. A while back your videos got me (in short order) from struggling to spread Managed Democracy on level 5 missions to guiding higher level players through Helldives after having enjoyed 6-10 SuperBeverages. I'm just coming back from a month break, and I'm so stoked you're still doing videos. Super Earth is lucky to have a Citizen and Helldiver with such unbreakable patriotism.

Titan can be killed by Scorcher if you manage to strip some armor from titan's back. After that only 5-7 shots near head and its done.

The boys and I still prefer the dominator for every situation.
I hope the Eruptor gets fixed soon. It was such a fun weapon.

The explosion damage going straight to the health means its great when paired with fire DOT and it does shockingly well against brood commanders and hive guards because it seems they have high limb health but low overall health
