Explosive damage does NOT do more damage to bugs, it does extra damage to big squishy parts of bugs and the heat vents on automatons.

I’ve definitely noticed a lot of things not doing nearly as much damage as when the game came out. Like the railcannon, the 500KG, and the napalm. I hope they didn’t stealth nerf anything before even balancing out other guns and stratagems and it’s just a bug. If they do end up nerfing a lot rather than buffing, that will hurt the flow of the game more in my opinion.

I recently disvocered, after getting my ass knocked by a charger, that a railgun aimed directly up into the titan's ass can pop it in a single shot. It feels amazing, but you have to get suicidally close and pray to hell your team doesn't call an eagle on you.

I think the weak point is the brain, and it's not protected from the cheek, especially while opening it's mouth, but is protected from dead on by a forehead carapace plate, which covers it's head almost entirely when the mouth is closed. From dead on try shooting it in the chin it it's not gaping at you. If it is gaping you kind of need to be under it to shoot up in to it's brain for a oneshot. From the side you have much more distance that can reach the unprotected areas that leads to the brain. A brilliantly made monster btw. Love the design.

Also, I think Bile Titan might be "buffed" by reducing the crit hitbox size slightly.
So before it's really easy to aim in the general direction and crit the Titans with a Railgun, now you have to actually aim carefully.
It's also possible that it's not the crit hitbox being smaller, but the armor hitbox being bigger. So if your Railgun shot touches the armor first, it will no longer be able to trigger the crit hitbox and count as a crit.
Like, when a Railgun shot's hitscan line penetrates multiple different hitboxes, what happens? It might be that previously, the Railgun can penetrate the armor and hitting both armor and crit hitbox counts as a crit, but now if you hit armor hitbox before the crit hitbox, it only counts as an armored shot?

5:35 I am pretty sure no matter what weapon you use, the forehead is armored and will do less damage if you shoot it.
However, the Railgun's ADS is a bit inaccurate, the bullet goes a lot lower than where you aim, about 1 to 1.5 the reticle dot size. So when aiming at things with Railgun ADS, always aim a bit higher.
I think what happened is when you aim at the forehead of the Titan, your Railgun shot goes directly into the chin, which kills it.
Edit: Also to add, this is really easy to notice when fighting bots, since the Railgun leaves marks on heavy enemies. You can see the mark is always below where the center of the reticle is.

You are perceiving a big difference in bile titans because you don't understand part health and essential parts. Enemies have limb health just like we do, if you do enough damage to a part, it will break, and there are certain parts that a bug can't live without. If you break an essential part, the bug will just die. This is why breaking the leg of a charger is so much easier than everything else, because it's leg has the least health and is essential. Bile titans have nearly invincible legs but they can't survive without their head, and if you hit the neck joint the head will just pop off. That is the one shot you are seeing, but bile titans have a ton of health so you need to either target their total health bar by breaking it's bile sacks and calling in orbitals on it OR try to pop its head, not both.

I do feel like being stepped on a Titan feels painful. As in, if it's not a "melee attack" but just a "step", it ignores your yellow shield and just kills you.
I need to practice dancing under the Titan more.

Charger Behemoth I believe is the more armored charger in those missions. And you can come across them sometimes on higher difficulty’s though they are rare. This is good to know for the bile titans though. They arent as scary as they used to be but they do put the pressure on you. I will try this out next time.

The Arc Thrower actually takes it down pretty well, just... you'll likely also fry any teammates along with it.
The guns could use some rebalancing, the Railgun is just too meta, others need to be brought up to its level.

The railcannon does oneshot the biletitan if it can headshot him. So look where your ship is and make the bile titan look in that direction. It can be a bit inconsistent at times.

The 1shot titan seems to be an issue when the host is on PS5, makes ennemies receive more damage by the non-host. That why on some mission you can os them, and on others it takes 10 shots. (I even killed two in a row by os with the arc gun on a mission, that was absurb).

Another tip for anyone below level 20 is to use the Arc Thrower. I don’t know exactly how the chaining function on the thrower works on Bile Titans, but it must do something cause it almost always blows straight through their back armor and can even 2-shot them, consistently. Try it out.

According to my knowledge, one shotting bile titans might be a glitch when cross platform coop. Probably due to some syncing issues. I have seen multiple videos that people one shotting bile titans consistently hitting no matter which part of their head. But I cannot pull it off not even once. I think this method needs more tests especially in single player mode since there are minimum glitches in single player. 🤔🤔🤔
