Exercise for menopause weight loss may not be what you think! If you're focused on cardio, you risk losing muscle and over taxing your adrenals. That means your weight loss efforts could actually cause weight gain!
Gaining lean muscle (and strength and stamina) means that you have more energy and a better metabolism. You're going to expend more energy all day because you FEEL like being more active.
Studies compare those that do 1-2 or 3 times a week strength training and find the 2x a week group expends more energy every day because they boost energy instead of draining it. (and of course compared to 1x a week group? They have more strength and stamina.

A famous bodybuilder claimed you aren’t burning fat while lifting; you’re depleting sugar and glycogen, so the body will then draw a higher ratio of fat during low key movement until the next meal. But we also want increased VO2 max. Calorie burning is not the only benefit of moving.

I’m in surgical menopause after a hysterectomy and oophorectomy and struggling to build muscle/tone. Lifting for about an hour a day and walking 2-3 miles per day
