Are you starting the year with Distance Learning?! Here I share 5 top tips to get started on the right foot! The beginning of the year is always tricky in kindergarten, first, and second grade, and distance learning can make it even trickier, so I wanted to help out by sharing these tips to help!

These are great tips! I used Fitness and Fluency to incorporate skills and fitness. My kindergarten kiddos get restless, so I found that this was a lifesaver! It wasn't free, but well worth the money!

Hi Susan, Would you consider making a short video for kids explaining Distance Learning. I have been searching every where for one and I came across this video. As a parent, this video has useful info for preparing for school, but I would love a video for my incoming seconder and a brand new kindergartner. Our first grade teacher used a lot of your videos in Spring when distance learning started for our class.

Flipgrid was popular with my 1st/2nd graders in the spring! It was a great way for them to express themself and sometimes reply to others. I actually did the graphing lesson you posted on your channel on there and had students share their work for their responses.

Our district will not allow us to provide our students with manipulatives because of COVID. I am going to ask parents to spend $3.00 at Dollar Tree for a whiteboard, whiteboard marker, and a bag of math manipulatives of choice.

I didn't get a chance to navigate through what works and doesn't work with distance learning last year, so luckily with all the tips you gave me, I feel a little better about what to expect with distance learning.
