Is Katz's Deli Pastrami Sandwich Still the Best in NYC? I grew up on the Lower East Side but I have not eaten at Katz's in a long time because I hate the long lines that are there often. But I came early today to avoid the lines so that I can see if Katz's Deli Pastrami Sandwich is still the best in NYC. There are a good number of restaurants like 2nd Ave Deli and Sarge's Deli that make a great pastrami sandwich so the competition is tough. Given what it costs to eat out anywhere I don't want too use the word overpriced but...
That's WAAAY to much for what you get, two slices of bread probably cost them 10c so you've paid likely over $30/lb for pastrami.

Close to $30 a sandwich is definitely expensive however if its the GOAT pastrami sandwich then its well worth it. Why not have a GOAT in your life when you can?!
