I believe EVY was chosen for the position she had in the Secret Service because of her personality was that, she wasn’t looking for power, she wasn’t trying to outshine everybody else, she didn’t want it. What better person to have it.

Best start with not trusting or believing anyone. Time and observation will eventually reveal their character.

My Mother was so wise. She said " you can't make people do, think, or feel what they don't want to."

I love Evy. I’ve watched her on several podcasts. It seems like they all pull the same info, ask the same questions differently. I’m 24 minutes into this interview and have already learned new things from her. The magic of Mel Robbins, y’all. Looking forward to the rest of this discussion and will be saving to watch again ❤

I saw Evy on a Diary of a CEO. Evy is fierce. And Mel - thank you for showcasing your authenticity. I love the way I can see my favorite people from your perspective, from what inspires you.

I have adopted this mantra of “handle your shit” since in my early 20s. While it has been challenging to see it, clean it up and move on, it has propelled me through things I didn’t think otherwise I could move on from. Thank you for the reminder Evy and Mel.

I concur. When you listen to your enemies, they tell you what their real fears are and it aint even you

Evy's ethos of mental armour has helped me to get out of a toxic working relationship and think of what is my intention rather than fall at the insults. I've live up to my aim without her power hungry behaviour throwing me off. Cos I wont be part of that game and do whatever to protect myself (my own president). I've had to be my own protector too. And I love the resilience and learning about it. Also love when Evy said she wanted to get into the force had had to go for what she wanted cos she has to live with thr decision everyone else will eventually come around like parents. And better to not have regrets. That really empowered me to close my heart to a bad job. But I'm hopefully now I will find better x

I observed that often we behave and act like we are on edge even if there is no reason for it... a habit of anxious mind. Confident mind looks for information not for a confirmation of itself being confident.

I loved that quote Evy gave. One of my favorite quotes is..."Whatever is in a man's heart, will come out of their mouth."(Bible) So, listen, look, and watch.

20:15 Gut instinct, being able to read a room and non-verbal cues/micro expressions in the first 10-20 seconds is a great predictor of overall behavior & mannerisms. I love Evy's advice on: feel the energy in the room, pay attention and don't call a person out just read the cues.

Something I heard once and it stuck with me ever since: "If being hard on yourself worked, it would have worked by now."

This interview is packed full of solid information, but most importantly, incredibly validating. Thank you! I come from a family full of deceitful, manipulative liars to marrying into one in 1988. Enough years to know my gut has been right all along. Thank you! I will be watching this interview again to boost my confidence.
