1:15 - It was at that moment ...
that Patrick realized ...
*HE WOULD NEVER BE A CIA AGENT.*
The look on Patrick's face is hilarious.

Seems like a software engineer... "If you do if right, nobody will ever know you did anything at all" - God, Futurama and the programming support and engineer's coping Bible.

Recognition doesn't matter as long as you feel it's fulfilling and it matters. It still burns burns at your soul at first, but you start to not care. And then it gets to a point where you don't want recognition.

Ego needs validation humility is self validation which needs no boasting or praise, for in what you do you have to appreciate self worth.

"You can't teach them". We have to find them...it takes a special breed to be in that line of work.

So many people search for approval on the outside. Social media, parents, boyfriends and girlfriends. It can be so damaging that some people can't recover from disapproval and forever get stuck resenting their parents or the past. it must be hard finding agents nowadays.

I am a veterinary surgeon and I routinely perform surgeries that many of my colleagues are unable to do and I have never posted any of these successful cases on any social media platforms. Such is my ego that I don't even bother to seek approval from the public or my peers. Plus I understand broadcasting comments like this may garner many negative comments but yeah I like said before I don't even care. My satisfaction comes from knowing I have done a great job and my animal patients will live happily under my care.

When she said they're looking for outgoing type A people, I immediately went to the comments to look for the introverts whose fantasies were just crushed. I was not disappointed.

“New principalities always cause problems for the new prince. People are willing to change leaders to better their own lot, but they soon discover that things have gotten worse, because a new ruler must harm those he conquers. Then you have as enemies those you harmed while seizing power, as well as those who put you in power, because you can never satify all of their ambitions”. Makaveli

I can see the difficulty in finding people that have these traits at a young enough age to be useful to the CIA.

What she says makes perfect sense mostly because it helps everyone focus on the formal communication taking place & almost no one formally communicates (nope! & easy to prove too most of us even high achieving geniuses have severe blind spots that we can or cannot help) this being said when you are part of a unit or group that understands nuance as formal communication then you are really tied to the responsibilities of the human experience. Actual people knowing who you are never happens for most people not just because they themselves (& like us) don't know who they are. Knowing who you are is difficult because *most people tell us who we are but that is not who we are*. The life long job, work, associations & clout, & formal contacts & communications should be more than enough, I understand what she is saying.
