I had a drunk neighbor in Emirates economy class recently, being in economy it was even worse, dude was leaning on me and shouting in my ear, then getting angry at me for not being able to answer his incomprehensible questions, the emirates flight attendant was superb at dealing with it, he even offered for me to move seats which I politely declined because of the extra legroom my seat had, but the flight attendant sobered him up and at one point even took him to the gally to calm him down, professionalism at its finest

As a former senior for 24yrs on a major ME carrier, the moment an intoxicated passenger was discovered, there were only 2 outcomes. If said drunk passenger was displaying these actions, before boarding, i.e. during check-in (after being informed by groundstaff), they were approached and questioned to determine their level of intoxication using the 'traffic light guide'. Once evaluated, they would either be denied boarding or if their condition warranted to be accepted for travel, then all service of alcohol would cease. This was explained to the passenger(s) then passed on to the flight deck. Problem solved.

Had that person tried to board a plane here in Australia, they’d have been denied permission at the gate due to being intoxicated. Simple as that.

I recently flew on Air France from Atlanta to New Delhi and my experience was delightful. Everything was on point. The infotainment system, the food, the crew, boarding. But I've only used Lufthansa before so I was using that as the reference point and I can say Air France can beat Lufthansa in economy class for sure

I am sorry for the experience you had. It's actually very shocking as I had an amazing experience on Air France in March on DEL-CDG and CDG-DFW routes. It was absolutely sensational!

I've binged like 10 of your videos over the last 24 hours Josh - not only because you're just flat out honest about your experience (The Air Peace one was hilarious) - but you accent is fascinating. In one of your videos you said that you grew up in Asia and Australia and it's like every 4th or 5th word (especially at the end of sentences) you go fully Aussie - that twang is unmistakable. 🤣 It's such a great hybrid.

I had a 2 drunk passengers in the business class on the LH flight from Buenos Aires to Frankfurt. One of them fell on the floor when he tried to go to the toilet. After they started to be extremely loud and provocative crew offered them coffee or tee, after they stay persistent requesting more wine, 2 man stewards came and of of the passengers went with them. I remember I slept 6-7 hours and when I woke up, he was still gone. He returned to his seat some 2 hours before landing. I guess he was sort of “detained” in the crew rest cabin.

I flew AF one month ago from CDG to Dulles…the lounge was amazing. I had a five hour layover and it was very enjoyable. The onboard was ok, but, you are right, the service in the premium seating is, not best, pedestrian. I had an amazing flight attendant who tried to fix that which was wanting. In the future, I will not pay for anything more than an exit row in coach if AF is the only option.

Emily was probably fine on the ground at the airport lounge, add 30000 feet altitude and the alcohol really kicks in.

I always thought that intoxicated people weren't allowed to board a plane. Big shame that a grown woman behaved like this

Loving your content josh you've actually helped me get over my fear of flying ( just by posting the amount of flights and seeing that you always end up safe, kinda got me over the fear.) Your an amazing guy keep up the good work mate. Loving how brutally honest and blunt you are, never change dude

Once flew BA Premium Economy. Cabin staff eventually refused to provide drinks to group of 2 behind me (very professional and diplomatic). It was interesting to hear the passengers claim they were not drunk and could drink more (it was not overly obvious) and then 5 Mins later watch them walk…..stagger to the toilet!

With reference to the AF boarding, what I cannot understand is that an airline will board a particular flight at the same time every day, and yet they often never get the boarding right. You learn from your mistakes (allegedly) but they - sometimes - never seem to learn. I boarded a long-haul flight (no name - the flight itself was delightful) from LHR recently, and it was rather chaotic. I checked Twitter, and the airline had been notified regularly about this very flight by unhappy passengers.

I had a similar experience on a couple of Singapore to London flights in business class (on SQ). First one was a guy who got so drunk and threw up. It's the only time I ever saw an SQ cabin crew losing it a bit - she apologised to me and said the guy was a "total asshole". He was in the window seat and I was in the adjacent aisle mid seat. Lovely. Second incident was far more fun - yet not ;) As you know, the original SQ A380 business class sights were stupidly wide. A girl seemingly met a total stranger in the lounge before the flight and they got friendly after several drinks. After boarding, she would some and sit in his seat (both skinny folks !) and as the lights went down (night flight), they were getting VERY friendly. Couple of visits from the cabin crew didnt put her off and she was forceably removed back to her own seat, as things were almost descending from friendly to 18+ porn lol. Still the best airline and crew ever - in my opinion.

Was in Sri Lanka last February, and was enchanted by the country. As your man said, the beaches, the train from Kandy to Ella, and of course Sigyria. We also took a balloon ride with Sri Lanka Balloon which was incredible. The warmth of the people, especially once one's out of Colombo, was remarkable given the economic shitshow they're going through, but will definitely return with my son. Flew Sri Lankan economy, by the way.

Years ago I flew to Bali first class on Qantas & there was a man next to me who was totally pissed. After he spilt a drink all over me the crew stepped in, but by then I was a smidgeon cross. Qantas eventually refunded my fare one way so it was OK. One drunk person can make your journey hell. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤

When watching your videos, I have always wondered do the crew and other passengers hear your commentary? I do find your videos very entertaining, and enjoy seeing the vlogs about the different airlines around the world.

Seeing the small section of you inside the Lily Lounge in the Maldives, took me back pre-pandemic when I was going back and forth every quarter. Every single frame of you in the Maldives was a massive nostalgia attack for me man.

Keep up the good work 👌👌
